About the role

We are seeking a highly capable Software Engineering Manager to lead a diverse team comprising company engineers, vendor resources, designers, and operations staff. The role requires strong people leadership, AI vision, architectural thinking, and the ability to deliver scalable, high‑quality software products.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and mentor a blended engineering team across development, design, and operations.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of software built using Java, Python, and React.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and QA teams to ensure high‑quality releases.
  • Define and drive the AI vision and AI‑enabled architectural roadmap.
  • Ensure scalable, secure, and cloud‑native designs using AWS.
  • Promote DevOps, automation, and engineering best practices.
  • Guide vendor teams and ensure alignment with engineering standards.
  • Influence technical decision‑making and provide thought leadership across the organisation.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Strong hands‑on background in Java, Python, and React ecosystems.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture patterns.
  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and API design.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, containers, and DevOps toolchains.
  • Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals and ability to integrate AI into solutions.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • AWS or Kubernetes certifications.
  • Experience delivering AI‑enabled or intelligent automation products.
  • Exposure to enterprise compliance, governance, or risk systems.
