Centrica is the largest enterprise I've been part of in my career, but despite it's size you still feel a genuine part of the mission and team. There's a clear sense of wanting to do the right thing within the team, which is enabled within the vertical I sit within from C-Suite down, who are transparent and open to being challenged. It's a vast and critical sector to work within, which makes it genuinely exciting and interesting every day.

The work is also super interesting and it's great to part of a leading energy company with a strong sustainability strategy - kind to people and the planet. There are also some brilliant employee groups for women, men, neurodiversity, Digital & AI and volunteering. Centrica also has a very strong Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy and hires people of all ages including ex Forces and elite Athletes - which creates excellent diversity and drives a high performing culture.

Not all Corporates are equal - Centrica has a lovely culture and a brilliant purpose for people wanting more than just a job. I came on a short term contract with a view to do a number of contracts across different companies, was here for 6 months, totally changed my mind and am just starting yr 6!
