About the role

We're looking for a People & Culture Partner to join our Corporate Units Finance team at BT Group during an exciting period of transformation. With Patricia Cobian joining as our new Group CFO and a continued focus on evolving how Finance supports the business, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of the function.

Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Partner, you'll work closely with senior Finance leaders across BT to develop and deliver people strategies that drive business performance, organisational effectiveness and future capability. You'll partner with Finance Directors and their teams as they continue to evolve the Finance Operating Model, lead transformation, build engagement and develop the skills needed for future success.

This is a role with genuine influence and visibility. You'll use people insights, data and sound judgement to support business leaders in making informed decisions, navigating change and creating an environment where people can thrive. Working alongside specialist People & Culture teams, you'll help turn strategic priorities into practical solutions that deliver meaningful business impact.

What you’ll be doing

•Use workforce planning to ensure Finance has the right skills, in the right place, at the right time to Partner with Finance leaders to shape and deliver strategic workforce planning, anticipating future workforce needs and ensuring the skills, capabilities and talent pipelines are in place to support long-term business success.
•Work with senior leaders on organisational design projects that simplify structures, roles and ways of working.
•Help leaders respond to changing business needs by developing clear, practical people plans.
•Collaborate to build and deliver plans that support BT's HR strategy, policies and priorities.
•Support Finance-specific talent, development and mobility programmes.
•Contribute to the development of the Finance Operating Model, including workforce size, shape and future capability requirements.
•Work with the Senior HR Business Partner to shape Finance skills and capability plans for the short and long term.
•Collaborate with senior leaders to create engagement plans that meet the needs of each business area.
•Use people data and insights to identify risks, support decision-making and recommend practical solutions.
•Deliver people activities across workforce planning, performance, engagement, organisational design, talent management, leadership development and employee relations.

Essential Skills / Experience

•Experience working with Finance teams or in a commercial business area.
•Experience partnering with senior leaders to shape and deliver people plans.
•Able to support business change and improve ways of working.

Desirable Skills / Experience

•Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively across different teams.
•Good understanding of people strategy, talent management, performance, employee relations and organisational design.
•Able to use people data and insights to identify issues, support decision-making and recommend practical actions.
•Experience supporting workforce planning and future skills or capability initiatives.
•Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in a simple and accessible way.
•Commercial awareness and an understanding of how people decisions support business performance.
•Experience supporting reward, compensation or workforce budgeting activities.
•Experience using dashboards and data visualisation tools to communicate clear people insights.
•Experience supporting operating model and organisational design initiatives within a changing business environment.
