In order to support the department of Functional Electric within the Fuselage Engineering Airbus Operations GmbH is looking for a

Functional Electric Design Responsible (d/f/m)

Our department is responsible for providing the functional definition of electrical system installations for the entire Single Aisle family, covering all standards. We manage the release of manufacturing documents and wiring diagrams to production, seeking team-oriented colleagues ready to work in an agile, transnational environment.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your location

You will be working in the city of Hamburg with the largest production site for civil aircraft. The office can be located or in the production site itself on the southern banks of the river Elbe (including the option to commute by ferry) or north of the Elbe River in City Nord close to the airport and the Stadtpark (city park).

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Conduct functional electric studies, including feasibility investigations and documentation of design data.
  • Steer subcontractors to ensure high-quality results and on-time delivery of engineering packages.
  • Coordinate cross-functional interactions between system design, installation, and production.
  • Support technical and operational projects at a transnational level.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, methodologies, and tools, specifically integrating Siemens CAPITAL.
  • Assist in the certification process and work toward obtaining delegation as a Technical Approver.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Degree or technician certification in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field.
  • Experience in aircraft systems, ideally within the Single Aisle perimeter.
  • Profound knowledge of electrical system installation, functional design principles, and design guidelines.
  • Motivation for subcontractor coordination and project management with a focus on time, quality, and cost drivers.
  • Ideally proficiency in technical tools such as Siemens CAPITAL, TAKSY, CCD + DVO, -Brows, erICC ACP / CADBAPS, AIRINA / DOCMASTER, DQN in SAP, IDV/MFB, EBAM
  • Business fluency in English and advanced proficiency in German.
