What you’ll do

Role purpose:
The purpose of the Project Leader role is to orchestrate and drive technology projects from inception to completion. This position is crucial for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while aligning with the organization's strategic technology goals. The Project Leader serves as the central point of contact, guiding cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and deliverables.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership
•Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, timelines, and resources. Drive the day-to-day execution of project tasks, ensuring progress against the plan.
•Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead, motivate, and coordinate cross-functional teams. Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure seamless execution.
•Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues. Make critical decisions to keep projects on track and escalate when necessary.
•Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between the project team and stakeholders. Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes, ensuring alignment and managing expectations.
•Quality & Delivery Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet the specified governance requirements and quality standards. Oversee the final delivery and transition of the technology solutions to the business.

Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience

•Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, inspire, and manage technical and non-technical teams.
•Strategic Thinking: Capable of aligning project execution with broader business and technology objectives.
•Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, modern technology stacks, and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
•Attention to Detail: Meticulous in planning, tracking, and documentation to ensure project accuracy.
•Interpersonal Skills: Excellent at building relationships and facilitating collaboration between diverse teams and stakeholders.
•Adaptability: Resilient and flexible in navigating changing project requirements and priorities.
•Proactive Problem-Solving: Takes initiative to anticipate and resolve obstacles before they impact the project.
•Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to clearly articulate project goals, status, and technical details to any audience.
•Time Management: Highly effective at prioritizing and managing multiple complex projects under pressure.

Must have technical/professional qualifications:
•Degree: Bachelor’s in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications or any related field.
•Experience: 1-3 years in a project management or team leadership role within a technology environment.
•Industry Knowledge: Familiar with the telecommunications industry and its associated digital services landscape.
•Certifications (Preferred): Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or similar Agile/project management certification.
