Job Description

Join Us

At Vodafone, we’re not just shaping the future of connectivity for our customers – we’re shaping the future for everyone who joins our team. When you work with us, you’re part of a global mission to connect people, solve complex challenges, and create a sustainable and more inclusive world. If you want to grow your career whilst finding the perfect balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunities to help you belong and make a real impact.

Joining Vodafone IoT’s team means being part of a growing, purpose-driven organisation at the forefront of innovation. Our teams are made up of curious minds, problem-solvers, and forward-thinkers across the world who thrive in a collaborative, high-performing, inclusive environment.

What you’ll do

As an IoT Resident Engineer, you’ll be the trusted technical partner for some of our most important global customers, owning their IoT solutions once they’re live and ensuring they continue to perform at their best. You’ll act as the single technical point of contact, building strong relationships with customers and working closely with teams across Vodafone to resolve issues, improve performance and deliver an outstanding service experience.

You’ll take responsibility for the day‑to‑day technical health of customer solutions, managing incidents, overseeing service levels and driving continuous improvement plans from idea through to completion. You’ll translate complex technical topics into clear, meaningful conversations for customers, while also representing their needs internally and coordinating the right experts to deliver solutions.

Alongside this, you’ll play an important role in shaping the future of customer solutions — supporting account teams during renewals and pre‑sales conversations, identifying opportunities to enhance services, and ensuring contractual commitments are met. You’ll keep customer documentation accurate and up to date, capture lessons learned, and help strengthen Vodafone’s Global IoT support capability for the long term.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with relationship‑building, and who thrives in a collaborative, customer‑focused environment. You don’t need to tick every box — we value potential, curiosity and a willingness to learn just as much as experience.

  • Experience working in a customer‑facing technical role, ideally supporting large or global organisations
  • Strong knowledge of IoT connectivity and mobile networks (such as LTE, 5G and GSM), with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, protocols)
  • Confidence communicating complex technical topics clearly to a wide range of audiences, including senior and C‑level stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage service delivery, SLAs and KPIs in a technology environment
  • A collaborative mindset, comfortable working with cross‑functional teams and external partners
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to stay calm and solution‑focused in high‑pressure situations
  • An interest in continuous improvement, innovation and developing your own skills as technology evolves
