Role Summary
The Brand Manager is responsible to lead the development and execution of Vodacom Tanzania’s brand strategy ensuring consistent brand experiences across all customer touchpoints. Drive integrated marketing initiatives that strengthen brand equity, grow customer consideration and support business objectives through effective planning, agency leadership and performance management.
1. Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Planning
• Translate the brand strategy into annual brand and go-to-market plans.
• Develop and manage the annual brand and marketing calendar.
• Drive integrated marketing initiatives that support business priorities.
• Ensure all brand activities are aligned with Vodacom’s brand positioning and strategic objectives.
Campaign & Creative Leadership
• Lead the end-to-end development and delivery of integrated brand campaigns.
• Manage agencies (creative, media, digital and activation) to deliver best in class work.
• Ensure all campaign executions are consistent with Vodacom’s brand framework and guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver seamless brand experiences across all channels
Brand Performance & Insights
• Monitor brand health, campaign effectiveness and key brand performance metrics.
• Analyse market trends, consumer insights and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
• Measure campaign performance and recommend optimisation actions.
• Provide regular performance reporting and strategic recommendations to stakeholders
Stakeholder & Agency Management
• Build strong partnerships with external and internal stakeholders to ensure effective campaign delivery.
• Lead agency relationships ensuring clear briefs, accountability and quality execution.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver integrated marketing initiatives.
• Foster collaborative ways of working that improve speed, quality and business impact.
Governance
• Ensure marketing investments deliver measurable business value.
• Maintain governance across campaign planning, approvals and brand compliance.
• Monitor project delivery to ensure initiatives are completed on time and within budget
Internal Brand & Employee Engagement
• Lead internal brand initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and brand advocacy.
• Partner with the various departments to deliver internal campaigns.
• Ensure employees understand and consistently represent the Vodacom brand.
• Support internal launches and initiatives that reinforce the company culture and purpose.
2. Skills & Experience
• 3–5 years’ experience in Brand Management, Marketing or Integrated Communications within FMCG, Telecommunications or a similar fast paced industry.
• Proven experience leading integrated marketing campaigns from strategy through execution.
• Experience managing creative, media and digital agency partners.
• Strong experience managing multiple stakeholders and cross-functional projects.
3. Key performance indicators
• Improve Brand Equity and Brand Consideration.
• Deliver integrated campaigns on time and within budget.
• Achieve agreed campaign performance and business objectives.
• Strengthen brand consistency across all customer touchpoints..
