Job Description

Job Description

Are You Ready to Make It Happen at Mondelēz International?

Join our Mission to Lead the Future of Snacking. Make It With Pride.

As the Asset and Reliability Manager for our chocolate plant in Oslo, you will lead and develop all maintenance, asset management, and facility operations. You are fully responsible for a team of 22 people and for making sure our manufacturing runs smoothly and without interruption. In this role, you report directly to the site leadership team and play a key part in building a strong equipment reliability culture across the plant.

How you will contribute

  • You will develop and implement a strategic maintenance and reliability roadmap together with internal and external partners, making sure we meet our Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, and Engagement goals.
  • You will lead all maintenance, asset, and facility operations — ensuring we follow business continuity plans, manufacturing standards, and Norwegian regulations. You make sure these are understood and followed by all employees and service providers on site.
  • You will set up strong routines to review performance and drive continuous improvement, benchmarking against best-in-class standards both internally and externally.
  • With your team, you will drive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies as part of our IL6S (Integrated Lean Six Sigma) programme — including Progressive Maintenance, Condition Based Monitoring, Visual Controls, Lubrication Management, and Calibration of equipment. The goal: zero breakdowns.
  • As a member of the site leadership team, you will coach, mentor, and build capability across the plant's technical team. You keep up with modern practices and have a clear plan for developing, attracting, and retaining the right talent.
  • You will manage and develop your team structure, making sure the right skills, engagement, and resources are in place to deliver on current and future business needs.
  • You will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally, aligning priorities to deliver on company objectives.

What you will bring

A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:

  • Fluency in a Scandinavian language and English, both written and spoken
  • 7+ years of relevant experience, including people leadership
  • Proven experience leading and developing larger teams, with the ability to coach and build capability at all levels
  • Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment
  • A solid understanding of Norwegian laws and regulations related to asset management, maintenance, and electrical works
  • Strong financial and business understanding, and project management skills
  • Knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment, SAP PM module (or equivalent), and basic automation and engineering technology
  • Experience with TPM, 5S, LEAN, Six Sigma tools, Safety and GMP standards is an advantage
  • Operational and manufacturing leadership experience from FMCG, food production, or manufacturing is an advantage
  • Experience with facility management is an advantage

What we offer

  • A key leadership role as part of the site leadership team
  • Development through courses, internal training, and access to LinkedIn Learning
  • Discounts in our employee store
  • Fully equipped gym and company sports club
  • Canteen with warm food and salad bar
  • Free parking and charging stations for electric cars
  • Digital health services from Avonova, e.g., video doctor and psychologist
