Title: Production Assistant

Required Shift:

12 Hour Shift Rotation

D Shift

Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

Job Purpose:

Primary responsibility will be reconciling differences in SAP and physical inventory by performing analysis to material adjustments, Bill of material audits, and actual material consumption made in the production process. Performing cycle counts to packaging materials, raw ingredients and work in progress. Backflush the production generated by shift and enter data into SAP & Scorecards.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must meet time in role (12+ months)
  • Must have approval from line manager to apply
  • Must currently be in good standing
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One (1) year experience as an Inventory Clerk or Production Supplier
  • 1+ years of SAP and/or JDA Experience
  • Certified Forklift driver
  • Basic proficiency utilizing PC software (Windows; Microsoft Office Suite)

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling and gripping
  • Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces
  • Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
  • Ability to read, write and speak English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or Higher
  • 2+ years of SAP and/or JDA Experience
  • 2+ years of experience as an Inventory Clerk or Production Supplier.
  • Ability to understand production lines and flow of materials.

What will be your Key Responsibilities?

  • Primary responsibility will be reconciling differences in SAP and physical inventory by performing analysis to material adjustments, bill of material audits, and actual material consumption made in the production process.
  • Performing cycle counts to packaging materials, raw ingredients and work in progress.
  • Audit the backflush documentation generated by Production at the end of the shift. Request correction as needed and archive it for future consults.
  • Review the variance's report in ATLAS to look for material under/over consumed and correct it.
  • Complete Cycle count list as requested.
  • Process material adjustments to return materials to Warehouse.
  • Clear COGIS and any discrepancy at SAP/JDA in order Finance can perform the Period Closing.
  • Provide support with any Work Orders issue.
  • Provide support in tracking and eliminating waste.
  • Create destruction forms when required.
  • Request materials to the Warehouse via KANBAN if needed.
  • Audit production paperwork to make sure material traceability is being followed and make corrections as needed and archive it properly for future external and internal audits.
  • Enter Shift data into SAP and Scorecards
  • Being able to cover peers for vacation/sick days
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • High sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Flexibility to work on off-shifts, as needed.
  • Incumbent will be responsible for reporting any concerns regarding flow of work to their line manager.
  • Incumbent is also responsible for identifying and implementing improvement opportunities and making recommendations to their team lead.
