Champion Petfoods is an award-winning pet food maker with a reputation of trust spanning 35+ years. Founded in a small town in Alberta, Canada, Champion – with its ORIJEN® and ACANA® brands – is a key player in the global premium pet food industry across three major geographic regions.

We would love to hear from you if you are passionate about personal and professional growth and see yourself as a key player contributing to our continued success as an award-winning company.

Here's the Scoop – Summary

The Director, eCommerce Key Accounts is responsible for developing and executing Champion Petfoods' eCommerce growth strategy across key marketplace customers, with primary accountability for Amazon and Chewy.

This leader owns the end-to-end performance of these channels, including revenue growth, profitability, customer relationships, retail media strategy, operational excellence, and team leadership.

Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Demand Planning, and Brand teams, the Director will drive sustainable growth and strengthen Champion's position as a leader in premium pet nutrition.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and operational excellence with a proven track record of driving profitable growth in complex eCommerce environments.

The Director, eCommerce Key Accounts works out of our Corporate office in Boulder (CO), New York (NY) or Nashville (TN) and works a hybrid schedule with 3 days in-person.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develop and lead annual business plans, operating forecasts, promotional calendars, and investment strategies to achieve channel objectives.

  • Manage strategic customer relationships and collaborate with key marketplace partners to identify growth opportunities and strengthen business performance.

  • Lead best-in-class execution across assortment, content, SEO, retail media, pricing, promotions, and product availability to optimize the customer experience.

  • Monitor marketplace performance, industry trends, algorithm changes, and platform policies to proactively mitigate risks and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Demand Planning teams to deliver operational excellence and achieve business goals.

  • Leverage data and analytics to evaluate performance, identify insights, and inform strategic decision-making.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing eCommerce team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What are we looking for?

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in eCommerce, digital commerce, or key account management, with significant experience leading Amazon and/or Chewy businesses.

  • Proven success managing Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central, including retail negotiations, promotional planning, and retail media programs.

  • Deep understanding of Chewy's platform, operating model, customer experience expectations, and growth opportunities.

  • Strong P&L management experience with a demonstrated track record of driving profitable growth, market share gains, and revenue performance.

  • Experience developing and executing strategic business plans, forecasts, and customer growth initiatives.

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams while influencing cross-functional stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.

  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and business results.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
