Opportunity
We are looking for a Logistics Operations Coordinator to join Maersk in Hungary. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end warehouse and distribution operations, acting as the key point of contact for both customers and logistics partners.
In this role, you will operate with a high level of independence, helping to shape and structure processes while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You will play a key role in delivering reliable service for our customers today, while supporting future growth in Hungary.
About the Role
As a Logistics Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing logistics operations across warehousing and distribution activities. You will work closely with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), ensuring operational performance, process adherence, and service delivery.
This role is well-suited for someone with a solid logistics background who thrives in an environment with a high degree of ownership, ambiguity, and opportunity to influence how operations are run.
You will act as the main representative of Maersk locally, managing a portfolio of customers and warehouses, and ensuring that all logistics activities are executed efficiently and in line with agreed standards.

Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate day-to-day logistics operations between customers and 3PL partners
· Ensure adherence to customer SOPs and monitor supplier performance
· Act as the main point of contact for assigned customers and warehouses
· Oversee warehousing, fulfilment, and distribution activities (LTL/FTL)
· Monitor operational performance, KPIs, and service levels
· Prepare and submit operational and financial data in line with internal guidelines
· Support invoicing processes and ensure accurate cost and revenue reporting
· Provide operational reporting and performance insights to customers and internal stakeholders
· Manage quotations for value-added services within defined frameworks
· Participate in customer audits and follow up on improvement actions
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
· Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Procurement, Business Development)
· Conduct on-site visits to 3PL facilities when required
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a proactive and solution-oriented professional who enjoys working independently and taking ownership.
You likely bring:
· Experience in logistics operations, ideally within 3PL, road transport, and/or warehousing
· A solid understanding of warehousing and distribution processes
· The ability to work independently and take full ownership of tasks and responsibilities
· Comfort working in an environment with limited structure, with the ability to navigate ambiguity
· A strong problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to improving processes
· Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate clearly across functions
· Experience in monitoring operational performance and ensuring service levels are met
· Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to use basic functions for invoicing and handling operational and financial data
· Fluency in both Hungarian and English (mandatory)
