Maersk is a value-led company, and we strive to high ethical and quality standards and want to be trusted by our customers, partners, society, and our employees.

Maersk Governance, Risk and Control (GRC) ensure an effective and efficient risk-based internal control framework across Maersk. GRC is based in Finance and drives the overall control framework to ensure a sound control culture and control environment is in place. We strive to be a best-in-industry GRC function supporting strategic differentiation and safeguarding our license to operate for the long term.
Our mission is to operationalize GRC framework and regulatory requirements through aligned, effective, business-friendly controls, processes, solutions and reporting.

The GRC Data Analyst Manager is responsible for delivering data engineering and analytics that support risk and control performance reporting across the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) function. The role builds and maintains data pipelines, reports, and tools that help stakeholders identify red flags, monitor performance, and make data-driven decisions. It also translates business and reporting needs into practical analytics solutions while ensuring data is reliable, traceable, and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Engineering & Pipeline Management: Ingest, transform, and publish data for GRC reporting on insights and red flags. Maintain and evolve the reporting catalogue (datasets, dashboards, schedules, owners).

  • Analytics & Reporting: Establish standardized metrics sets to analyze risk, control performance, and enterprise health prior to business reviews. Deliver ad-hoc analyses and deep-dives; explain trends, anomalies, and drivers.

  • Data Quality & Monitoring: Implement monitoring, alerts, and reconciliation checks for data refreshes and key metrics. Ensure data quality thresholds for completeness, timeliness, and error-rate targets are met for priority datasets.

  • Red-Flag Monitoring & Risk Intelligence: Develop and maintain a structured red-flag monitoring framework that systematically identifies entities requiring attention. Support risk and control reporting with robust data points and traceable evidence. Ensure all GRC-led risk assessments and re-assessments include data points to support risk rating.

  • Innovation & Proactive Risk Identification: Integrate insight-tools such as process mining or other AI tools into ways of working for proactive risk identification. Implement predictive measurements to forecast performance and proactively raise concerns.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders to translate reporting needs into usable data products and actionable insights. Ensure dashboards and reports are clear, traceable, and aligned to GRC reporting needs.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling; ability to build reliable, well-structured datasets and KPI layers for GRC reporting.

  • Experience with BI and dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) to create stakeholder-ready dashboards and recurring reports.

  • Strong automation and monitoring skills; ability to automate data refreshes and implement alerts for failures, anomalies, and data quality breaches.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to translate stakeholder needs into clear deliverables and explain insights, assumptions, and limitations effectively.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to perform root-cause analysis and interpret trends, anomalies, and control performance indicators.

  • At least 8 to 10 years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or similar roles.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance/Accounting, or a related field

  • Preferred experience in Risk Management, Internal Controls, Auditing, or GRC frameworks as well as insights into working with Finance processes.

  • Knowledge of process mining tools (e.g., Celonis) or AI-based analytics tools is advantageous.

  • Proficiency in Python and Microsoft data analysis tools.

  • Strong project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple reporting and analytics deliverables effectively
