Facilities Manager

Job Description

The Facilities Manager oversees all aspects of facility management at the site, ensuring effective service, maintenance, and cost control for building infrastructure, MHE (Material Handling Equipment), machinery, and racking systems. The role includes vendor management, site sustainability efforts, and adherence to corporate guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee comprehensive facility management, including service, maintenance, and cost control for MHE, machinery, and racking systems.

• Manage facility maintenance budgets and provide regular reporting.

• Optimize costs while maintaining high-quality facility management aligned with budgetary constraints.

• Collaborate with the Area/Regional Procurement team to ensure compliance with corporate procurement guidelines.

• Act as the primary contact for facility-related suppliers and landlord(s).

• Conduct MHE testing during onboarding and deliver in-house MHE training.

• Perform daily warehouse gemba walks to ensure proper use of MHE, materials, and PBM tools.

• Provide advice on workplace arrangements, materials, and safety instructions in collaboration with line managers to mitigate identified risks.

• Participate in emergency procedures and provide first aid as required.

• Auto sorter Corrective and curative maintenance.

• Leading a team of 3 technicians, whose responsibility is to ensure the continuity of operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Facility Manager, preferably in contract logistics.

• Familiarity with TAPA FSR, ISO certifications, or other international standards is an advantage.

• Strong technical expertise and practical skills.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Proficient in program management, including budgeting and strategic planning.

• Capable of managing emergency situations related to facility incidents.

• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

• Operates independently with minimal guidance, consulting senior stakeholders for complex issues.

• Builds strong relationships with site teams and stakeholders.

• Good command of German and English language

  Die Rolle umfasst zudem das Lieferantenmanagement, Nachhaltigkeitsinitiativen am Standort sowie die Einhaltung unternehmensweiter Richtlinien.

  Hauptaufgaben

  • Gesamtverantwortung für das Facility Management, einschließlich Service, Wartung und Kostenkontrolle für MHE, Maschinen und Regalsysteme
  • Verwaltung des Wartungsbudgets für die Facility sowie regelmäßiges Reporting
  • Kostenoptimierung bei gleichzeitiger Sicherstellung eines qualitativ hochwertigen Facility Managements im Rahmen der Budgetvorgaben
  • Zusammenarbeit mit dem Area-/Regional Procurement Team zur Sicherstellung der Einhaltung unternehmensweiter Beschaffungsrichtlinien
  • Hauptansprechpartner*in für facilitybezogene Lieferanten und Vermieter
  • Durchführung von MHE-Tests im Rahmen des Onboardings sowie Durchführung interner MHE-Schulungen
  • Tägliche Gemba-Walks im Lager zur Sicherstellung der korrekten Nutzung von MHE, Materialien und PBM-Tools
  • Beratung zu Arbeitsplatzgestaltung, Materialien und Sicherheitsanweisungen in Zusammenarbeit mit den Führungskräften zur Risikominimierung
  • Mitwirkung bei Notfallmaßnahmen sowie Leistung von Erster Hilfe bei Bedarf
  • Korrektive und präventive Wartung von Auto-Sortieranlagen
  • Fachliche und disziplinarische Führung eines Teams von drei Technikern mit Verantwortung für die Sicherstellung eines unterbrechungsfreien Betriebs

  Qualifikationen

  • Nachgewiesene Erfahrung als Facility Manager, idealerweise im Bereich Kontraktlogistik
  • Kenntnisse von TAPA FSR, ISO-Zertifizierungen oder anderen internationalen Standards von Vorteil
  • Ausgeprägte technische Fachkenntnisse und handwerkliche Fähigkeiten
  • Sehr gute Kommunikations- und zwischenmenschliche Fähigkeiten
  • Erfahrung im Programm- und Projektmanagement, einschließlich Budgetierung und strategischer Planung
  • Fähigkeit zum souveränen Umgang mit Notfallsituationen im Facility-Umfeld
  • Analytische Denkweise sowie ausgeprägte Problemlösungskompetenz
  • Selbstständige Arbeitsweise mit minimaler Anleitung und Eskalation komplexer Themen an Senior Stakeholder
  • Aufbau und Pflege starker Beziehungen zu Standortteams und Stakeholdern
  • Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
