Our Opportunity

The Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for drive continuous improvement and standardization initiatives across Maersk's Contract Logistic Product.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of logistics operations, lean six sigma methodology, process improvement methodologies, and change management and will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that drive operational safety, quality, efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Execute and monitor initiatives from Maersk's Operational Excellence Model, ensuring proper implementation of standards, Lean methodologies, and strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with operational leaders and key areas to align continuous improvement objectives, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

  • Analyze, identify, and audit performance indicators (KPIs) to detect improvement opportunities, propose corrective/preventive actions, and measure the impact of OPEX initiatives.

  • Lead and facilitate training programs on Lean methodologies, continuous improvement tools (Kaizen, RCA, 5Whys, SMED, VSM, Mapping), and Six Sigma to develop capabilities across operational and administrative levels.

  • Coordinate and lead problem-solving workshops and daily/weekly Kaizen sessions (Lean Corners, Gemba Walks) to address deviations in productivity, quality, costs, and safety.

  • Develop and execute continuous improvement plans (Kaikaku and Kaizen) together with operational teams, ensuring sustainability of implemented changes.

  • Promote a culture of operational discipline, safety (HSE), self-care, and compliance with Maersk standards across all levels.

  • Define and maintain a continuous improvement framework with standardized tools such as process maps, metrics, and best practices applicable to the site.

  • Collaborate in identifying and eliminating waste (Muda) that impacts productivity, profitability, and operational efficiency.

  • Ensure integration and adoption of new digital tools, automation solutions, and report simplification in the operational sector.

  • Develop training programs to ensure all employees are proficient in process improvement methodologies and Lean/Six Sigma tools.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (operations, customers, suppliers, and industry associations) to stay updated on trends and best practices.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Professional Title: Industrial Civil Engineer or similar.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

  • Experience in WMS or similar systems: Intermediate level.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt.

  • At least 3 years of experience in logistics operations.

  • Intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English.

  • Understanding and Analysis of P&L GAPs for identifying improvement projects.

  • Power BI or similar: Intermediate level.

  • Knowledge in SQL or VBA programming (Nice to have).

  • Experience leading and mentoring projects with high difficulty.
