Job Description
Strategic Commercial Regional Manager, North East & Yorkshire
Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our Commercial team sits at the centre of Deliveroo’s marketplace—shaping how we serve restaurants, grocers, and new verticals worldwide. From negotiating key partnerships to unlocking new revenue streams and crafting data-led growth strategies, we take on big challenges that move the business forward. If you thrive in fast-paced, commercial environments and want to influence the future of a global brand—this is the team for you.
We’re looking for a Strategic Commercial Regional Manager, North East & Yorkshire to join our Leeds team. In this role, you’ll lead the strategy for the North England & Yorkshire territory, driving order volume, market share, and profitability across all three sides of our marketplace.
Get to know our Commercial team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the Regional UK & Ireland team. As our most mature global market, we are experts in the local landscapes we serve—from Brighton to Belfast—overseeing the delicate balance of restaurants, consumers, and riders.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Lead Regional Strategy: Own the end-to-end strategy for the North England & Yorkshire region, managing top and bottom-line P&L targets to drive sustainable growth.
Empower Your Team: Lead and mentor a team of up to seven City and Account Managers, supporting them in developing high-impact operational plans.
Drive Commercial Partnerships: Act as the face of Deliveroo for top-tier restaurant partners, leading high-stakes negotiations and building long-term executive relationships.
Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and Product teams to synchronise rider efficiency with local revenue-driving campaigns.
Optimise Marketplace Performance: Analyse regional data to improve customer outcomes and accelerate market share within your specific territory.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Essential
Significant Commercial Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex P&L targets in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic & Analytical Mindset: A strong understanding of how to translate data into actionable growth strategies and operational excellence.
High-Level Negotiation Skills: Comfortable engaging and influencing business owners and C-suite operators to secure key partnerships.
Stellar Communication: Exceptional relationship-building skills across various stakeholders, whether in-person, on the phone, or via email.
Regional Mobility: Ability to be in the field and travel within your territory 2–3 days per week to stay close to the market.
Nice to Have
Previous experience in General Management or having successfully run your own business.
