About the role

We are looking for a Senior SAP Finance & ICM Consultant who can independently engage with business stakeholders, drive end to end requirement ownership, design scalable solutions, and lead configuration and delivery. The role requires strong functional expertise in SAP FI and Incentive & Commission Management (ICM), combined with solid technical understanding (ABAP, PI/PO) and cross module knowledge (SD, MM, SRM).
The consultant will also play a key role in ECC to S/4HANA migration programs, leading the FI stream and ensuring a smooth transformation journey.

What you’ll be doing

Key Responsibilities
Business Engagement & Solution Delivery
• Act as primary finance solution owner, engaging with senior business stakeholders to understand, challenge, and document business requirements.
• Drive end to end solution design covering finance and ICM processes, including configuration, enhancements, and integrations.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development teams.
• Lead configuration across SAP FI and ICM modules; guide ABAP developments where required.
Implementation & Change Delivery
• Lead impact assessment for new changes, enhancements, and regulatory updates.
• Prepare and maintain high quality documentation:
o Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
o Functional Design Specifications (FSD)
o Configuration and Solution Design Documents
• Plan, drive, and coordinate IST, UAT, and Go Live activities, including:
o Test strategy and test case reviews
o Defect triage and resolution
o Cutover and Go Live readiness planning
Integration & Cross Module Collaboration
• Work effectively with technical teams on ABAP, PI/PO, and interface integrations.
• Collaborate closely with SD, MM, and SRM teams to ensure end to end process alignment.
• Ensure finance and ICM solutions integrate seamlessly with upstream and downstream systems.
Service Management & Operations
• Lead the SAP FI service area, ensuring:
o Incident, problem, and change management excellence
o SLA adherence and service stability
o Proactive issue management and continuous improvement
• Provide functional leadership and guidance to support teams.
ECC to S/4HANA Migration
• Lead the FI workstream in ECC to S/4HANA migration programs.
• Perform finance specific migration activities including:
o Finance process assessment and simplification
o Data readiness, CVI, and functional impact analysis
o Promoting testing cycles and cutover planning
• Guide business and IT teams through the transformation journey.

Essential Skills / Experience

Functional & Technical Skills
• 8–12+ years of SAP experience with deep expertise in SAP FI and ICM.
• Strong hands on experience in SAP FI configuration (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Controlling integration).
• Solid understanding of ABAP, ability to review/debug code and guide developments.
• Experience with PI/PO (or CPI) integrations.
• Working knowledge of SD, MM, and SRM modules and their financial touchpoints.
Delivery & Leadership
• Proven experience leading end to end implementations and change programs.
• Strong exposure to IST, UAT, Go Live, and hyper care phases.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills, capable of engaging senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading functional teams and owning service areas.
S/4HANA Experience
• Hands on experience in ECC to S/4HANA migration projects, especially for Finance.
• Understanding of S/4 Finance concepts, simplification items, and transformation best practices.

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Experience working in large, complex enterprise landscapes.
• Exposure to global finance processes and regulatory reporting.
• SAP FI / S/4HANA or ICM certifications.
