Job Description

Job Title: HR Manager – Strategic

Location: Sheffield, Hybrid – Minimum 3 days per week on site

Salary: £55,000+ (DOE)

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll partner with senior leaders and line management to align people strategy with business priorities, shaping and delivering integrated HR solutions across the full employee lifecycle, including organisational design and restructuring activity
  • You’ll use workforce data, insights and key metrics to inform business direction and provide meaningful reporting to senior stakeholders, contributing to the implementation and ongoing optimisation of HR systems such as SuccessFactors or SAP
  • You’ll provide day-to-day coaching and guidance to People Managers on multi-faceted case management matters, supporting effective approaches across performance, absence, conduct and organisational change
  • You’ll oversee multi-faceted employee relations activity, including TUPE, formal processes and employment tribunal matters, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes
  • You’ll build and maintain constructive relationships with Trade Unions and key stakeholders, supporting positive industrial relations while identifying HR priorities and continuously strengthening people practices in line with organisational goals

Your skills and experiences:

Essentials:

  • Experience using people data and insights to inform business direction, along with implementation or enhancement of HR Information Systems such as SuccessFactors or SAP
  • Associate CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards Level 7 (Level 7 preferred)
  • Experience providing day-to-day support and coaching to People Managers, particularly on multi-faceted case management matters
  • Broad employee relations experience, including multi-faceted case management, TUPE and organisational design activity
  • Experience building constructive Industrial Relations and Trade Union relationships, with considerable stakeholder engagement capability
  • Experience of collaborating with line of business strategic leadership, management and other partners to deploy integrated Business-focussed solutions
