Location: West of the region, Grafham, Pitsford and Clapham (Bedford) Milton Keynes
Contract: Permanent Full-Time (flexibility for Part-Time)
Salary: Circa £36,060

What Will You Be Doing as an Assistant Commissioning Engineer?
This is a hands-on, site-based role where you’ll support the delivery of commissioning activities across a range of exciting water and water recycling projects. You’ll work closely with experienced Commissioning Engineers, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle while building the skills needed to progress into a Commissioning Engineer role.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting the commissioning of new treatment works and systems, ensuring assets are safe, reliable and ready for operation
• Assisting in the development of Commissioning Plans, documentation and test procedures
• Carrying out factory and site acceptance testing (FAT & SAT), including "Motor Control Cubicle (MCC's) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), instrumentation and telemetry systems
• Supporting dry and wet commissioning activities and optimisation of treatment processes
• Assisting with fault finding and troubleshooting automated control systems
• Helping to produce handover documentation, ensuring all assets meet required standards before transfer to Operations
• Working closely with construction, design and operational teams to integrate commissioning with project delivery• Supporting training of operational teams on new assets and systemsThis role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience across cutting-edge infrastructure projects while contributing to essential services for our customers.
