Anglian Water Services
There's more to water than you think!
At Anglian Water, we manage, supply, and recycle water for the driest region in the UK. Guided by the passion behind “Love Every Drop”, our commitment to delivering the highest standards of customer service and transforming the way water is valued by everyone is at the core of our mission. Every day, we strive to be the change, driving innovation and improvement in everything we do.
Serving millions of people across the East of England and Hartlepool, our team, of over 7,000 employees and more than 3,000 alliance partners, is dedicated to putting water at the heart of a new way of living. From Grimsby in the northeast to Milton Keynes in the southwest, we provide clean, high-quality water to 4.3 million people daily, and we continue to invest to keep our drinking water among the best in the world.
As the largest water and water recycling company in England and Wales by geographic area, we treat and recycle over a billion litres of used water every day through more than 1,000 water recycling works. Our pioneering efforts have resulted in some of the cleanest rivers in decades, and our sustainability focus extends to protecting open spaces, wildlife habitats, parks, and reservoirs across the region.
At Anglian Water, we’re building a more resilient future. By 2030, we’ll have prepared two new reservoirs for construction, and our extended strategic pipeline will ensure the region stays resilient to drought. Every step we take is focused on improving the lives of the people we serve.
Joining Anglian Water means becoming part of a forward-thinking, purpose-driven team working to optimise every drop of water. Managing the world’s most vital resource involves solving complex engineering challenges, conducting ground-breaking research, and going the extra mile for our customers. Here, you’ll play a key role in creating game-changing solutions, while being valued, respected, and fairly rewarded for your contributions.
If you’re ready to be the change and make an impact, Anglian Water is the place for you.

What Employees like about Anglian Water Services

People & Community
An extremely supportive, diverse and friendly company to work for where the employees come first.

Working Environment
Flexible working. Left previously to pursue another opportunity abroad (due to skills I gained here) but came back a number of years later due to great benefits, work life balance, support and career opportunities. It is also a very stable sector and there are a lot of people that stay here their whole careers.

Purpose
Anglian is a great supportive business with a very clear purpose and a huge sense of responsibility to its customers and the environment. We all want to do the right think and share in that common purpose. It really is the people that make Anglian the organisation that it is and I love working here. The benefits offered are often overlooked, but are really valuable and the work that each of us does has a really part to play in the success of the business.

Benefits
I genuinely love working here, the people are great, i have a very supportive manager and think that the comp and bens is fantastic.

Working Environment
I really value the work/life balance and flexibility that Anglian Water offers, it enables me to work in the best way for my health and also to keep up responsibilities at home.

Culture
A really positive company to work for who use their policies to support and help their employees.

Purpose
When I joined I planned to stay for a year then move on. Many years later I am still here - two reasons - the passion of the people to do the right thing for our customers and the environment and our purpose to drive social and environmental prosperity for our region. I've worked in several industries and this one if the only one where the purpose is lived and focused on every day.

People & Community
Working at Anglian Water gives me a great sense of purpose, to work as a team on my project, but to also feel part of something much larger - we have so many amazing people working in many diverse areas and departments, but we all have respect for one another for the jobs we do. It's a great place to work, develop and feel part of something.

Working Environment
Anglian Water offers a great choice of benefits in addition to an employees salary. My manager is very supportive in flexibility of my working hours and work/life balance which are both important to me being in the 'sandwich' generation with elderly parents, children and grandchildren. Obviously this has to come with a consideration for business need which I totally respect but knowing that in an emergency I would be supported by the organisation makes a massive difference.

Culture
If you want to work for a company that genuinely cares about it's employees, offers great career progression opportunities, is environmentally and socially focussed and that offers roles that directly help to make a difference, everyday, to millions of other people's lives then Anglian Water is a excellent company to consider.

Salary & Reward
Great place to work, a number of opportunities if you are prepared to knuckle down and work you will be rewarded with a great career.

Benefits
The people and the benefits are fantastic!

Working Environment
This is a great place to work! Their flexible working policies are great. Recommend working here!

Culture
Anglian water was a breath of fresh air for me when I joined it was crazy how well looked after and listened to and respected as an employee I haven't experienced a company like it in my working life up to this point, I'm very impressed

People & Community
A lot of companies talk about being people focused and looking after their staff, but this is a company that really lives those values and is very focused on staff wellbeing and the work/life balance.

Purpose
Anglian Water is full of great people who go out of their way to help each other and our customers. We share stories about how people have gone over and above to showcase this and it is really uplifting and makes you proud to work here.

Benefits
Anglian Water really care about people - wellbeing isn't just a tick-box exercise. There are great family policies, benefits, and resources for managing our own wellbeing, along with an exceptional private healthcare scheme. Physio and mental health support is available with no GP referral required. There is a real culture of care and support, with the approach to working flexibly to balance work with the rest of life.

Inclusion
The best Company I have worked for in a 20 year career (I've only been here 1.5 years)! Everyone is friendly and wants you to succeed. A supportive and inclusive employer, with a great benefits package.

Culture
The work environment at AW is very family friendly, with a great people focussed culture. I would strongly recommend a career here and can see a broad range of opportunities

Culture
I started at Anglian Water almost a year ago and was blown away by how welcoming everyone is, not just within my small team, but right across the business! There are great employee-led communities (and more popping up all the time) which support different aspects of my life, and I've got involved in others just to learn more. Working here genuinely feels like being in a family! I joined to help tackle pollution, and all the people I've met so far (across the business, not just on the front line) genuinely want to help the region's people and environment. I definitely recommend working here - there are so many opportunities to get involved in things and learn, and I feel really supported being me. Finally, a quick message for those of us who might not feel we have the right skills to apply for a job here: it's your attitude, not your skills, that will set you apart - go for it! :-)

People & Community
Anglian Water is hugely supportive of the individuals working here, and pretty much everyone who works here is kind and considerate and goes out of their way to help their colleagues.

Working Environment
Such a supportive employer! They actively use their company polices to see how they can provide the best working environment to support their staff. They really understand that the most well supported staff give the best performance they can.
