Head of System Integration Team

As part of Airbus’s ambition to grow a proficient and competitive Engineering organisation, we are launching a Commercial Aircraft Engineering Centre in Poland. This initiative aims to leverage Poland’s talent pool and technological ecosystem, specifically in the field of Propulsion systems, while supporting our broader Engineering workload and competitiveness requirements, and reinforcing Airbus’ strategic engagement with Poland.

Role Overview

Join the Airbus Poland Engineering center, as the Manager of the “System Integration” team, responsible for the seamless integration of Propulsion Systems (Engine and Nacelle) into the Airbus fleet. Your team will act as the primary technical link between Engine/Nacelle suppliers and our internal design office teams.

You will lead and develop a team composed of around 10 Engineers in charge of System Integration of Engine and Nacelle products, producing technical requirements, monitoring supplier development milestones, proposing integration solutions that balance weight, cost, durability and performance, while ensuring the highest level of Safety and Quality.

The scope of the team includes continuous improvement of the current Airbus fleet (all variants), but also after-sales support and Research and Development projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Define Team strategy and objectives

  • Align team goals with Airbus Poland Engineering center strategy, Propulsion Engineering center needs and Customer expectations
  • Foster collaboration with all stakeholders, and clarify roles and responsibilities

2. Support & Engage People

  • Guide and support the team members in their daily job, by providing technical advice, coaching and mentoring
  • Promote well-being, Airbus Values, empowerment, and collaboration while aligning objectives with personal development.
  • Foster a motivating, inclusive environment where transparency, feedback, and lessons learned are valued.

3. Develop Team Capabilities

  • Manage resources, competences, Processes, methods and tools.
  • Define upskilling plan and trainings for the team, with the support of Propulsion Engineering Center
  • Drive recruitment, resource adaptation, and knowledge management.

4. Ensure Delivery

  • Ensure Team deliveries on Time, Cost, Quality and Performance

The Ideal Profile

  • Education: .Engineering Degree in Mechanical/System Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience: 5 to 10 years in Mechanical design or System Integration, previous experience in team/project or people management
  • English: Negotiation level
  • Aeronautics context and certification framework (CS-25, CS-E), System engineering, Turbomachinery and/or Mechanical systems
  • Leadership, Integrity, Collaboration, Customer focus
