Systems Engineer - Airbus Commercial Engineering Center

As part of Airbus’s ambition to grow a proficient and competitive Engineering organisation, we are launching a Commercial Aircraft Engineering Centre in Poland. This initiative aims to leverage Poland’s talent pool and technological ecosystem, specifically in the field of Propulsion systems, while supporting our broader Engineering workload and competitiveness requirements, and reinforcing Airbus’ strategic engagement with Poland.

Role Overview

Join the “System Integration” department responsible for the seamless integration of Propulsion Systems (Engine and Nacelle) into the Airbus fleet. You will act as the primary technical link between Engine/Nacelle suppliers and our internal design office teams.

You will apply System Engineering approach and Technical knowledge in order to produce technical requirements, monitor supplier development milestones, proposing integration solutions that balance weight, cost, durability and performance, while ensuring the highest level of Safety and Quality.

The scope of the team includes continuous improvement of the current Airbus fleet (all variants), but also after-sales support and Research and Development projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Systems Optimization

  • Define Engine and Nacelle Systems Integration with the Aircraft
  • Perform technical investigations on Engine and Nacelle systems (Turbomachinery, Engine Systems, Nacelle systems)
  • Perform analysis in order to demonstrate overall system performance: icing accretion, thermal behaviour, etc.
  • Propose integration solutions in order to improve the product, taking into account inputs from all disciplines (performance, safety, operability, acoustics,...)

2. Produce Engineering deliverables

  • Write or update Design Documentation (Requirements, Design Descriptions, ...)
  • Perform Verification and Validation activities (Requirements validation, Test procedures and results, Qualification dossiers)
  • Produce Certification or Compliance demonstration dossiers
  • Deliver Technical support to other Departments (Customer Services, Production, ...)

3. Supplier Coordination

  • Ensure follow-up of technical topics with the Supplier (Engine or Nacelle manufacturer)
  • Challenge Supplier in order to get the best technical solution for the Aircraft Product
  • Communicate project status and progress and ensure proper documentation and archiving

The Ideal Profile

  • Education: .Engineering Degree in Mechanical/System Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years in Mechanical design or System Integration
  • English: Negotiation level
  • Aeronautics context and certification framework (CS-25, CS-E), System engineering, Turbomachinery and/or Mechanical systems
  • Collaborative spirit, Open-mindness, Customer focus, pro-activity, autonomy
