We’re creating more than the UK’s best network. We’re helping close the digital divide, empower communities and drive meaningful progress.

We believe that everyone should feel they belong. Whoever you are and whatever your story, there’s space for you here. We’re building a workplace where different perspectives are welcomed, voices are heard, and everyone feels safe to show up as themselves.

You’ll join a team that genuinely cares – about each other, about our customers, and about the future we’re building. From day one, you’ll be welcomed, valued and encouraged to bring your whole self to work.

Join our Technology team and push the boundaries of tech to make a better world today and create the ground-breaking products and services of tomorrow.

What you’ll do

The Technical Delivery Lead is accountable for the end‑to‑end delivery of complex network work packages, leading outcomes through service management of external partners and strategic suppliers and influencing matrixed internal teams to ensure delivery is controlled, assured, and aligned to agreed milestones, standards, and service commitments.

  • Own end‑to‑end technical delivery of complex network work packages, from mobilisation through to acceptance and handover.
  • Service‑manage external delivery partners (onshore and offshore), setting, monitoring and enforcing SLAs, KPIs and OLAs to ensure predictable, high‑quality outcomes.
  • Act as the primary technical delivery authority and escalation point for assigned programmes, resolving delivery risks, dependencies, and cross‑functional conflicts.
  • Matrix‑manage internal resources across planning, build, operations, and commercial teams to align priorities and remove delivery blockers.
  • Govern delivery through structured reporting, RAID management, milestone tracking, and service reviews with internal stakeholders and partners.
  • Assure delivered solutions meet technical standards, architectural intent, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery performance, partner effectiveness, and service management disciplines.
  • Represent technical delivery in programme, portfolio and governance forums, providing clear status, risk, and decision recommendations.

Who you are

  • Experience in telecommunications network delivery/engineering roles with strong Transmission/Optical/IP/Fibre exposure.
  • Proven experience managing externally delivered work packages using formal service management and governance frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of end to end network delivery lifecycle, including design assurance, build, test, acceptance and handover.
  • Deep expertise in fibre, transmission, access network & associated network infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead delivery without line management, influencing senior stakeholders, partners, and matrix teams.
  • Experience owning delivery performance, risk, and issue resolution across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Comfortable operating at pace in a commercially constrained, outcome‑driven environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder, communication, and escalation‑management skills.
