About this role

We are seeking a Roaming Operations Engineer to provide 24x7 first-line technical support for Vodafone’s International Roaming platform. This role is responsible for real-time alarm monitoring, incident management, first-level triage, and coordination with global resolver teams across the entire incident lifecycle. The individual will support critical roaming services including SS7 signalling, LTE/VoLTE, 5G, CAMEL, and centralised value-added services, ensuring seamless international connectivity for Vodafone markets and partners

What you will do

  • Monitor and troubleshoot international roaming services to maintain seamless functionality.
  • Apply in-depth technical knowledge of core network parameters and optimisation across 2G, 3G, 4G, and VoLTE.
  • Manage proactive and reactive incidents within agreed SLAs to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Identify and support automation opportunities by analysing existing processes to reduce manual efforts and enhance service outcomes.
  • Utilise strong analytical skills to investigate and resolve network KPI degradations and customer concerns.

Who you are

  • An engineering graduate with 2–4 years of experience in roaming technologies.
  • Skilled in core network protocols and technologies, including SS7, SMS/SMPP, and LTE.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting core platforms such as STP and DRA/DEA.
  • Equipped with a strong understanding of how roaming platforms interwork with traditional core networks.
  • An effective communicator with excellent spoken and written English skills.
