About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Programme Management professional to lead portfolio-scale programmes comprising multiple projects and workstreams within Business Excellence, Business Operations & Transformation. This role is accountable for defining and delivering programme outcomes aligned to strategic priorities, ensuring governance excellence, managing financial performance, overseeing dependencies and risks, and driving measurable business value. The successful candidate will provide senior delivery leadership across the entire programme lifecycle while partnering with stakeholders across business, technology, finance, and operational functions.
What you’ll do
- Define programme outcomes, roadmaps, scope, sequencing, and success measures aligned to strategic priorities, funding requirements, and business value objectives.
- Establish and lead robust programme governance, including Steering Committee forums, decision-making processes, reporting standards, control frameworks, RAID management, and escalation pathways.
- Drive integrated delivery across multiple workstreams by managing dependencies, shared risks, capacity constraints, milestone alignment, and critical path activities.
- Maintain programme financial stewardship through budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, funding governance, and value-focused financial controls.
- Lead benefits realisation by defining baselines, identifying benefit owners, tracking performance measures, and reporting outcomes to senior leadership.
- Build alignment amongst senior stakeholders and support timely decision-making across business, technology, finance, and delivery functions.
- Provide programme assurance through proactive risk identification, intervention on challenged workstreams, plan recovery, and outcome protection.
- Coach and support project managers and workstream leaders to strengthen delivery maturity, governance capability, standards adoption, and accountability.
Who you are
- Extensive experience leading complex, multi-workstream programmes within large enterprise or shared-services environments.
- Strong capability in programme leadership, integrated delivery, governance, and transformation execution.
- Expertise in benefits realisation, value tracking, programme assurance, and outcome-focused reporting.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost management, funding governance, and financial controls.
- Strong knowledge of agile-at-scale approaches, hybrid delivery models, and adaptive planning techniques.
- Experience coordinating resources, partners, suppliers, and matrixed delivery teams across multiple functions and geographies.
- Understanding of commercial management, vendor performance, contract awareness, and supplier governance.
- Knowledge of service transition, operational readiness, release adoption, and handover assurance practices.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Ability to operate confidently in complex and evolving environments while maintaining delivery focus and accountability.
- Experience working with programme and portfolio management tools such as Planview, Clarity, Jira Align, ServiceNow, or equivalent.
- Strong executive reporting skills using Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, or similar reporting and financial platforms.
- Desirable certifications include PgMP®, MSP®, PMP®, and Agile at Scale or SAFe qualifications.
