About this Role

We are seeking a Google Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement and manage scalable, secure and cost‑efficient cloud solutions on GCP. This role works closely with development, operations and security teams to ensure robust cloud infrastructure and seamless integration with enterprise applications, enabling reliable and high‑performance cloud platforms.

What you’ll do

  • Design and deploy cloud‑native applications and infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring scalability, resilience and high availability
  • Manage and optimise GCP resources including Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), BigQuery, Cloud Storage and networking components
  • Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Argo CD and GitOps practices
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
  • Implement and manage IAM policies, encryption standards and security best practices across GCP services
  • Monitor platform performance, identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot infrastructure issues to ensure operational stability
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including developers, data engineers and architects to integrate cloud solutions into enterprise workflows

Who you are

  • Hands‑on experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow and Cloud Composer
  • Proficient in Python, with scripting experience using Bash or similar languages
  • Experienced with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Helm charts
  • Familiar with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Spinnaker
  • Strong understanding of containerisation using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Solid knowledge of GCP networking concepts and identity and access management (IAM)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles
  • GCP Associate or Professional Cloud Engineer certification is preferred
  • Exposure to DevOps practices, GitOps workflows and distributed computing frameworks (such as Apache Beam or Spark) is an advantage
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and analytics solutions on GCP is beneficial
