Key Accountabilities & Decision Ownership

• Provide strong support in the Datacom/CPN area at all technical levels of operation.
• Ensure proper and timely handling of individual/global complaints related to Datacom area.
• With responsibility of Initiating actions to improve the quality, availability and measurement of the area, Ensure highest network quality, availability and resilience through development and implementation of enhancement projects and work streams.
• Responsible for reviewing the new technology /roadmaps /incident trends.
• Provide troubleshooting, analysis & problem solution for critical situations.
• Follow-up & prepare the DataCom network planned activities to ensure fault free operation during different activity phases, coping with O&M quality standards & procedures.
• 24x7 2nd line support On Call for DataCom network emergencies reported by internal customers, to fix critical problems.
• Fine tune the DataCom nodes to achieve smooth & high quality performance.
• Implement preventive software correction packages on DataCom nodes to solve DataCom network problems.
• Secure the DataCom network elements.
• Assess the need for suppliers support intervention & follow-up with suppliers regarding any DataCom network issues.
• Provide DataCom technical support to internal & external customers, & ensure their satisfaction.
• Follow the escalation & reporting procedure in due time.
• Report DataCom network problems in time with clear information to management for proper decision making.
• Report DataCom network activities to management for proper follow-up.
• Report performance against agreed plans & KPIs.
• Participate in acceptance & testing of new DataCom nodes, systems, features & services.
• Implement software & hardware system upgrades.
• Implement hardware system expansions.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience

• Good IP knowledge with a strong background in SP(MPLS,VPLS,BGP..etc)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant field
• CCNP SP & MPLS knowledge is a must.
• CCIE SP Level
• Good knowledge of firewalls: Juniper/NetScreen/CISCO ASA/ Fortinet/IPS or equivalent.
• F5 Loadblancer Knowledge is Preferred
• ACI technology is Preferred
• Good understanding for the GSM/3G network.
• Python Programming knowledge is a plus
• Automation & scripting Tools developing experience is a plus
• Good Communication Skills
