About this Role

We are seeking a Cloud Engineering & Capacity Delivery Lead – VOIS to oversee on‑premises cloud infrastructure delivery and capacity management for the UK and Ireland markets. The individual will guide detailed design, dimensioning, security compliance, lifecycle management, and resilience for Network Virtual Infrastructure and orchestration platforms. This role also ensures effective stakeholder engagement, delivery excellence, performance optimisation, and the continuous improvement of engineering processes.

What you’ll do

Lead the cloud engineering function responsible for on‑premises cloud delivery in Ireland and capacity management across Cluster 4 (UK & IE).Manage capacity planning and delivery for cloud infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business and technical needs.Oversee detailed design, implementation, and optimisation of cloud infrastructure to support high‑quality data and network experiences.Ensure resilient, scalable, and secure on‑premises cloud solutions that comply with design and security principles.Coordinate all cloud engineering activities, including planning, scheduling, configuration, and emergency response for network virtual infrastructure.Drive local execution of cloud engineering evolution initiatives in line with European strategy and roadmap.Maintain ownership of country-level cloud design documentation, including dimensioning and end‑to‑end performance.Manage and optimise delivery budgets while promoting cross‑country benchmarking to align with industry best practices.Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders across Europe, including operational, commercial, and security teams.Enable continuous improvement through process industrialisation, digitalisation, and simplification.

Who you are

Strong background in telecommunications engineering with hands‑on experience in virtualised and containerised network architectures (VNF/CNF).Demonstrated capability in operational delivery, technical execution, and multi‑country engineering coordination.Able to apply an end‑to‑end view of cloud infrastructure, drive risk mitigation, and identify improvement opportunities.Skilled in stakeholder engagement, with strong cross‑functional collaboration abilities.Experienced people leader who fosters a high‑performing and inclusive environment.Familiar with operational methodologies such as Kanban (mandatory), and optionally Agile or ITIL.Experienced in budget execution and able to manage complex engineering workstreams with clear accountability.Strong customer‑centric mindset with focus on performance, resilience, and service quality.

• Management of the cloud engineering team dealing with on premises Cloud delivery in Ireland and the capacity management in Cluster 4 (UK & IE):
• Being accountable for managing the capacity demands in relation to Cloud Infrastructure in Cluster 4.
• Being accountable of detailed design, implementation, performance optimization, and delivery of Cloud Infrastructure to offer best data experience in Ireland.
• Guaranteeing delivery of all local initiatives according to agreed upon SLA.
• Deliver resilient and secure on premises Cloud Infrastructure.
• Ownership and maintenance of the country Cloud detailed Level Design including dimensioning and performance of the end-to-end chain
• Country specific implementation of the Cloud Engineering Evolution Plan, according to the NSE strategy and roadmap
• Direct management of the stakeholders within the European structure:
• Defining, planning and scheduling all Cloud network activities and interventions
• Ensuring state of the art topology/architecture to support our “best NW “ claim through scalable, resilient and secure NW solutions
• Mobilising and coordinating all required engineering efforts in case of emergencies related (operational or security threat) to Network Virtual Infrastructure.
