Operations Line Management Specialist and Lead Purpose The Operations Line Management specialist and Lead is responsible for the line management and professional development of a group of statisticians, programmers or Data Managers of around 40 people in their “Org”. The role will support the operational and strategic goals of Veramed to embed management excellence, a high performance and professional development culture and to support the Director, of Professional Development by contributing to line manager best practices across the group of Veramed line managers and also contribute to L&D and Organisational development strategy. Key Responsibilities The job tasks listed below outline the scope of the position. The application of these tasks may vary, based on current business needs. Line Management: • Responsible for direct reports with responsibilities to include: o Line management of individuals at all levels from junior to senior. o Monitor and act accordingly on the utilisation of your group, ensuring they are fully utilised and aligned to their billability targets. o Partner with your group’s Operational leads to make sure they are performing to the highest level and are progressing professionally on their projects. o Coach, advise and support your line reports and group in monitoring, improving and evidencing their skills development via the Veramed skills matrix, in order for them to achieve promotion. o Accountable for the overall performance of your group. o Provide coaching and mentoring of staff to achieve “excellence”. o Direct employee career development and ensure your group receives appropriate training to perform their day-to-day jobs. o Interview and effectively on-board and integrate new staff members. o Partner with HR on any ER-related matters in relation to your group. o Drive compliance and effectiveness in your group, making sure their Veramed profiles and timesheets are filled in and they have met all their training compliance commitments. o Collaborate with BU leads, VRT and other stakeholders to help resource new and existing projects effectively across Veramed. • Support of Director, Professional Development in matters relating to the Line Management Team, with responsibilities to include: o Input into leadership of Line Management Team to enable industry-leading Line Managers. o Input into the engagement of all Line Managers to maintain Veramed culture and support network.

Job Description: Operations Line Management Specialist and Lead o Input into Line Management strategy for the organisation. o Training, onboarding and mentoring of Line Managers within Veramed to ensure consistent standards. o Provide leadership and mentoring/coaching for other line managers. o Input into the assignment of line managers for new operational staff. o Contribute to the development of new training material for line managers. o Provide leadership and support to the Line Management Steering Group. Business: • Responsible for department-related SOP development and updates. General: • Perform work in full compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, company policies, procedures and training. Minimum Qualification Requirements • At least 12 years of relevant industry experience. Other Information/Additional Requirements • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Able to inspire and motivate. • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. • Self-management skills with a focus on results for timely and accurate completion of competing deliverables. • Leadership experience. • Ability to manage a large group of people across different operational areas. • Ability to make informed and appropriate decisions. • Established record of employee development. • Have a proven track record of successfully managing complex people issues with minimal support.
