Job Description

The Customer Graduate Programme includes two placements: Stretch Placement: A role outside your academic background that broadens your commercial understanding and develops new skills Core Placement: A role aligned to your interests within the Customer function, allowing you to build expertise and make a meaningful impact Each placement is structured around clear objectives and measurable outcomes, ensuring you can track your development while contributing to key business priorities. Throughout the programme, you'll gain exposure to a variety of customer-focused areas, including: Customer Insight and Analytics Clubcard and Loyalty Programmes Customer Experience and Service Improvement Customer Strategy and Planning Digital Customer Journeys Customer Communications and Engagement Market Research and Customer Trends Customer-Focused Innovation Projects You’ll work with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, analyse customer feedback and data, identify opportunities for improvement, and help deliver initiatives that enhance the overall customer experience. By the end of the programme, you'll have developed a deep understanding of how customer-led decisions drive business growth, build loyalty, and support Tesco’s purpose of serving customers, communities, and the planet a little better every day. Salary: €35,000 Programme start date: 6 September 2027 Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll take part in a structured 18-month development programme that includes: Upskilling workshops focused on customer insight, retail operations, and business strategy Personal development sessions to build confidence, communication, and leadership skills Store visits and customer immersion experiences to understand our customers firsthand Networking opportunities with graduates and leaders across the business Mentoring and coaching from experienced colleagues who will support your development throughout the programme At Tesco, graduates are given meaningful responsibility from the start, supported by a strong network of colleagues who are committed to helping you succeed. Good organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in using data and insights to support decision-making. A strong team spirit, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive working environment.
