What you’ll do
Step into the role of Senior Security Engineer for the SAP Commerce Platform, where you will play a key role in coordinating and strengthening security practices across multiple engineering teams. You will collaborate closely with development teams, product security, and central security functions to ensure security topics are handled effectively, consistently, and in a scalable way across the domain.
ROLE AND TASKS
- Acting as a security contact and coordinator for multiple engineering teams within the Commerce platform domain
- Handling and coordinating Product Security Incident (PSI) tickets, including initial triage, prioritization, and tracking until resolution
- Supporting teams with security validations, including preparation, coordination, and representation during validation activities
- Conducting threat modellings according to SAP defined methodology
- Reviewing and coordinating remediation of findings from security scans (e.g. static analysis, open source scanning, dependency scanning)
- Driving alignment with SAP security requirements, processes, and guidelines
- Collaborating closely with developers, architects, product managers, and quality specialists on security-related topics
- Supporting and scaling domain-level security guild / security champion activities to ensure continuity and reduce dependency on single individuals
What you bring
- Solid technical background in software engineering, ideally in cloud or platform‑based products
- Hands-on experience with application security concepts, such as vulnerability management, secure coding practices, and open‑source security
- Familiarity with application security testing tools
- Experience working closely with multiple engineering teams in a development environment
- Ability to triage, prioritize, and coordinate security topics across multiple teams
- Strong commitment to improving product security through pragmatic vulnerability and risk management, balancing security requirements with sustainable product delivery
- Strong sense of responsibility for product quality and security
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern development processes
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English

Compensation Range Transparency
SAP believes pay transparency is essential for cultivating an honest, supportive, and inclusive culture, representing a significant step in our commitment to leading the way in achieving pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range, which includes both base salary and variable incentive targets for the career level of the posted role. The target range for this position is 255500 - 383300(PLN) . The actual amount offered to successful candidates will fall within this range and will depend on factors such as education, skills, experience, and role scope, as determined during the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a target amount, with the actual payout depending on both company and individual performance.
