We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Built Environment team in Toronto, ON. This role requires a multi-discipline design background and the proven ability to manage and deliver complex projects across various sectors, including industrial buildings, underground structures, airports and other building structures.
As a Senior Project Manager your responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:

Planning, organizing, coordinating, and working with technical and management groups in the delivery of a range of built environment projects.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Oversee the coordination of design activities across various disciplines including structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing on a variety of projects.

Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive solutions to potential challenges.

Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of project delivery.

Leading the development of proposal responses

Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposals and presentations.

Acting as a role model and ambassador for Mott MacDonald, articulating and representing our brand, vision, and value proposition internally and externally

Nurturing an innovative, challenging, collaborative and high performing work environment, which supports the use of digital tools and technology and fosters the Mott MacDonald values and culture
The ideal will possess the below skills and qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, with a member in good standing status with PEO

Professional certification (e.g. PMP) is highly desirable

Minimum of 10 years of experience in design coordination, and project management within the built environment sector is required. Experience working in a multi-discipline engineering consulting organization is preferred
- Experience delivering building projects for airport is considered a major asset

Knowledge and understanding of industry procurement models

Must be familiar with relevant industry standards and design criteria

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Ability to build and harbor good working relationships with our business partners, suppliers, contractors, and clients

Desire and flexibility to travel

Ability to work in a multi discipline team environment.

In compliance with the Employment Standards Act of Ontario, the expected salary range for this position is from $131,000 - $160,000. Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.
