Whether you want to specialise or broaden your experience, you'll be supported by global specialists eager to share their expertise. With numerous opportunities to learn and grow, the possibilities are as diverse as our people. Working as a connected global team, we deliver impactful projects that shape the future.

Your Opportunity

Due to strong growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, Project, Programme & Commercial Management team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior / Principal Project Manager in the Maroochydore office. This role involves taking ownership of entire projects as well as managing project functions within a broader PMO on some of our largest engagements. You will collaborate closely with commercial and technical leaders and build productive relationships with our clients and partners.

You will have the chance to engage across several key markets – transportation, energy, defence, water, and the built environment in Queensland and across Australia. Initially, your focus will be on transportation, buildings, and defence. You will join a diverse team of passionate consultants with a proven track record of guiding our clients and leading the delivery of our most critical projects. Our team takes ownership of tough problems and consciously moves projects forward, balancing technical and commercial issues. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Proactively manage scope and prevent scope creep by working closely with technical teams.
  • Identify risks, constraints, and opportunities across complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Develop clear, actionable project plans and schedules that guide delivery and are actively used by the team.
  • Track project performance, analyse progress, and implement course corrections when needed.
  • Collaborate with project advisors and technical experts to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
  • Prepare and present project reports, maintaining strong engagement with client counterparts.
  • Oversee subcontractor arrangements, including scope definition, delivery tracking, payments, insurance, reporting, and due diligence.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve project management tools, templates, and processes.
  • Work with commercial, legal, insurance, and technical stakeholders to develop practical solutions to project risks.

About You

You’ll bring 8-10 years experience in project management, developed either within client organisations or at a consultancy. Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply if you have strengths in several of the areas below and a desire to develop in others.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Championing best practices and making clear, well-informed project decisions.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to shape and deliver project scope.
  • Confidence in managing projects across the full lifecycle, from initiation to close-out.
  • The ability to interpret contracts and seek expert advice when needed.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to building strong subcontractor relationships that deliver value for clients.
  • A passion for consulting in energy, transport, or social infrastructure projects that make a difference.
  • A solid understanding of Queensland’s delivery strategies and project environment.
  • The ability to influence outcomes and guide teams with credibility and purpose.
