Senior Creative Strategist for Events & Entertainment

Location: London, Arbor

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent, salaried

We are seeking a Senior Creative Strategist for Events & Entertainment to lead and shape the global creative strategy for how Merlin’s attraction brands — and our partner IPs — come to life through world-class entertainment, immersive live experiences, and commercial-driving events.

In this pivotal role, you will define creative vision, build strategic frameworks, and develop brand-enhancing concepts that elevate guest experiences across our global portfolio. You will play a key role in unlocking new commercial opportunities while strengthening Merlin’s position as a leader in global entertainment.

You will work across multiple brands and collaborate closely with key IP partners to develop forward-thinking creative strategies for entertainment and events. You will set the benchmark for what “great” looks like, building toolkits, standards, and creative guidance that inspire and empower teams across the organisation.

This role is for a visionary creative strategist who balances strategic clarity with bold creative leadership. You will act as a brand guardian, driving consistency and excellence while pushing boundaries through future-facing innovation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Senior experience in creative strategy, brand experience, live entertainment, events, or experiential marketing
  • Proven ability to create creative visions for global or multi-market brands
  • Experience collaborating with major entertainment or consumer IP partners
  • Strong ability to turn strategy and insights into creative platforms
  • Excellent storytelling, presentation, and communication skills
  • Comfortable influencing within complex, matrixed global organisations
  • Background in creative development, brand strategy, or entertainment strategy
  • Strategic and commercially minded creative thinker
  • Passionate about entertainment, brand storytelling, and guest experience innovation
  • Future-focused with a strong sense of creative leadership and vision
