Commercial Specialist

Location: THORPE PARK Resort, KT16 8PN

Hours: 40 hours per week Mon - Sun

Contract: Full time - 12 month contract

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Commercial Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth commercial operations within the resort. This role is essential for maintaining operational standards across stock allocation, merchandising, partner management, and compliance. Acting as a bridge between global functions and resort operations, the Commercial Specialist ensures the seamless execution of policies, processes, and operational initiatives, contributing to overall business success.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee stock allocation into the resort, ensuring optimal distribution to meet operational needs.
  • Monitor stock levels within the Resort stock management system to ensure optimal stock fulfilment within the stores.

  • Ensure merchandising and pricing strategies align with global team directives.
  • Regularly review and update pricing displays to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to trading standards across the resort.
  • Ensure adherence to all local legislative requirements and maintain up-to-date documentation.
  • Monitor changes
  • Maintain, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the resort to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Facilitate weekly operational reviews, ensuring the timely follow-up and resolution of action items.
  • Manage relationships with on-site partners, ensuring alignment with operational goals and standards.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between resort operations and global functions, facilitating communication and alignment.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse and Logistics Manager to ensure a robust internal delivery schedule that maximizes stock fulfilment, and ensuring timely and cost-effective operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in operations, logistics, or commercial management roles.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and pricing systems.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for interfacing with multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of local legislative requirements and compliance standards.

This role is a full-time role, averaging 40 hours per week. Due to the nature of the business this will include weekends, bank holidays and some late evenings as required.
