We are currently seeking Casual Education Hosts to enhance the guest experience at our iconic attraction.

About the Role

In this role you will get the chance to:

• Deliver educational and entertaining tours to enhance students experience and knowledge.
• Develop and implement creative education tours which meet Australian Curriculum (AusVELS)
• Continually increase your knowledge on SEA LIFE Melbourne animals and be well informed on issues relating to their biology, ecology and conservation.
• Present engaging and exciting presentations to our guests about the beautiful animals we have in the aquarium.
• Be a fabulous host at our Rockpools to educate our amazing guests about local marine life.
• Deliver premium back of house experiences including; Glass Bottom Boat Tours, Jelly Lab Experiences, Penguin Passports and Behind the Scenes Experiences.
• Enhance students experience and share knowledge on SEA LIFE Melbourne animals.
• Promote animal welfare and conservation issues.
• Promote the role SEA LIFE Melbourne plays in education and conservation both in house and through SEA LIFE Trust Charity.

Please note this role will be required to work one weekend day per week.

About You

To shine in this role you should:

• Possess tertiary qualifications in Biology/Zoology/Education or be studying these courses.
• Previous experience within an education setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a high level of confidence in public speaking.
• Demonstrate a passion for promoting awareness, knowledge and conservation of Australian marine habitats.
• Ability to satisfy the requirements of a Working with Children Check or hold current VIT registration.
