Job Description

As a Warehouse Shift Manager at Maersk, you will play a key role in leading a safe, efficient, and high-performing operation within our Taulov warehouse in Denmark. You will take ownership of daily shift activities, ensure operational excellence while consistently meet customer expectations and site targets.

Working closely with fellow leaders and cross-functional teams, you will be at the forefront of driving performance - through strong leadership, continuous improvement, and an unwavering focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will combine operational leadership with people management and continuous improvement:

• Lead with safety first: Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSSE, food safety, and site standards
• Drive operational performance: Manage daily shift operations to deliver on KPIs, budgets, and customer expectations
• Enable high-performing teams: Coach, develop, and engage your team while managing performance and capability
• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with other leaders and stakeholders to ensure consistency and alignment
• Enhance customer experience: Build strong relationships and resolve operational challenges proactively
• Improve continuously: Use Lean and CI tools (e.g., Gemba, 5 Why) to optimize processes and drive efficiency
• Ensure governance and control: Maintain site security, audit readiness, and robust training plans

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a confident, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about both people and performance.

You bring:

• Proven experience in warehouse operations (minimum 3 years)
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• The ability to engage, motivate, and influence at all levels
• Solid understanding of KPIs and operational performance management
• Experience with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office
• A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement

It’s a plus if you have:

• IOSH Managing Safely or similar certification
• A formal management qualification
• Experience with food safety or BRC standards
