
Supervisor - Maintenance & Repair
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise overall Container Maintenance & Repair operations, including Repair Body, Reefer Unit, EIR, and EMR Administration.
Lead and coordinate the Repair Body Team Lead, Repair Unit Team Lead, EIR Team Lead, and EMR Admin.
Oversee container inspection, damage assessment, repair estimation, maintenance, and repair activities to ensure quality and timely completion.
Ensure container body and reefer unit repairs comply with Maersk, IICL, and applicable industry standards.
Plan and manage manpower, workload, tools, spare parts, and resources to meet operational requirements.
Ensure accurate EIR, repair estimates, repair records, and EMR documentation and system updates.
Monitor repair quality, turnaround time, productivity, costs, material usage, and operational KPIs.
Ensure all activities comply with HSSE requirements, safe working procedures, and company policies.
Coordinate with Depot Operations, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth container flow and repair operations.
Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement across M&R operations.
Coach and develop team leads and team members to strengthen technical capability, safety, quality, and performance.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Refrigeration, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in container maintenance & repair, depot operations, or a related technical environment.
Supervisory experience managing container repair, reefer maintenance, EIR, or EMR operations is preferred.
Good knowledge of container inspection, damage assessment, repair estimation, and repair processes.
Knowledge of container body repair and reefer refrigeration/electrical systems is an advantage.
Knowledge of IICL standards, EIR processes, and container repair criteria is preferred.
Strong understanding of HSSE and safe maintenance practices.
Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to lead multiple operational functions.
Strong planning, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills with basic to good English proficiency.
