To support this journey, you will join the Global Safety & Resilience teams comprising more than 600 people globally and more than 40 people in Copenhagen – this is also where you will be located. The team consists of fun-loving and hard-working professionals working in the fields of Security, Safety, Health, Environment, Business Resilience, Crisis Management, and Dangerous Goods. We currently have ambitious plans for logistics and services in Maersk, and to support this from a Safety & Resilience perspective, we are strengthening our connection to our customers. As a result, we are growing our capacity, capabilities, and systems to enable safer and more secure deliveries into the integrator strategy. To achieve this, we have established a Safety & Resilience Transformation Program to manage specific improvement projects and initiatives within logistics and services, and this is where we need you!

WE OFFER:

We are looking for one student assistant to support the HSE & Transformation Program team in Safety & Resilience, which manages the portfolio of global projects for the function with relevant internal stakeholders. The key element for success in this position is having the right attitude and the willingness to learn.

As our new student assistant, you will be an important part of this project team, and you will be employed on a minimum of 12-month student contract. As a student in Maersk’s S&R function, you will have the opportunity of getting hands-on experience from a global company, working in both a dynamic and international team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the HSE & Transformation Program: Support in the team’s efforts regarding Communications, Learning & Development, Stakeholder Management, Marketing, etc.
  • Support S&R global campaigns: Assist with planning, coordination, communication and execution of S&R global campaigns across the organization
  • Conduct research and gather data: Help with collecting and analysing information for various projects through surveys and interviews.
  • Prepare reports and presentations: Create documents and presentations to support team meetings and stakeholder interactions.
  • Manage social media and online presence: Assist in updating and maintaining the team’s social media accounts and website (Viva Engage, SharePoint)
  • Coordinate events and meetings: Help organize team events, meetings, and other activities.
  • Learn and adapt to new tasks: Be willing and able to take on new responsibilities and learn new skills as needed.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Above all, a “Sponge Octopus” attitude - willing to absorb new learnings at speed while able to collaborate and support a number of tasks for the team.
  • Someone highly structured and systematic.
  • A quick learner who is self-driven and flexible
  • A well-versed user of Office365. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint – Power BI knowledge is an advantage)
  • Someone who is proactive and takes initiative to support the team
  • A team-player who thrive in changing environments that is open and curious
  • Knowledge of the latest tech trends and how to apply them to daily work (i.e. Artificial Intelligence)
  • Understanding and experience with Security, HSE, or Business Resilience is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English, with fluency in more languages being an advantage (the more, the better!)

To be considered for this position, you must be in the final semester of your Bachelor's with an intent to start Master's degree right after at a Danish University and based in Copenhagen.
