As a Marine Services Planner, you will play an important role in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient vessel operations while working closely with internal stakeholders, customers, authorities, terminals, and service providers. You will gain valuable exposure to end-to-end logistics execution, operational excellence, incident management, and continuous improvement in a dynamic global environment.

We offer

At Maersk, we are committed to unlocking the potential of our people. Joining our Asia Pacific Ocean Operations team means becoming part of a diverse and inclusive workplace where collaboration, innovation, and customer centricity are at the heart of everything we do.

In this role, you will:

  • Gain hands-on experience managing vessel operations at one of Maersk's strategic transshipment hubs.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, customers, authorities, terminals, and service partners across multiple countries and cultures.

  • Develop expertise in shipping operations, port execution, incident management, regulatory compliance, and vendor management.

  • Strengthen capabilities in stakeholder management, problem-solving, risk mitigation, process optimization, and operational excellence.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience, operational reliability, and business performance.

  • Work in an empowered environment where you are encouraged to challenge the status quo, drive improvements, and make meaningful decisions.

  • Access learning and development opportunities that support both personal and professional growth within a global organization.

This is an exciting opportunity to build a rewarding career with Maersk, the world's leading integrated logistics company, while making a tangible impact on the flow of global trade.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive vessel port stay performance through proactive operational execution, performance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement to ensure timely service delivery.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including execution teams, vessel management, terminals, authorities, and service providers.

  • Maintain governance and compliance of authority systems (e.g., Malaysia Maritime Single Window and Ship Clearance System), ensuring accurate submissions, data integrity, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor end-to-end operational activities, identify risks proactively, and implement preventive actions to support seamless execution.

  • Act as the primary liaison between vessels and local authorities, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant submission of all required documentation.

  • Identify, report, and escalate operational incidents, risks, and irregularities to relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.

  • Ensure comprehensive and accurate shift handovers, highlighting critical operational information to maintain continuity in a 24/7 environment.

  • Develop and maintain clear and accurate vessel Daily Game Plans aligned with stakeholder requirements and operational objectives.

  • Support cargo incident management activities and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to minimize operational and customer impact.

  • Maintain operational tools, processes, and controls required to support safe, efficient, and error-free 24/7 execution.

  • Represent the team during contingency events, operational disruptions, and incident management forums to support rapid issue resolution.

  • Coordinate with vendors, Procurement, and Finance teams to resolve operational issues, assess risks, and support service delivery requirements.

We are looking for

  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant working experience in shipping, logistics, maritime operations, or a related field.

  • A proactive, resilient, and results-oriented individual with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams and functions, including without direct authority.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.

  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift environment and support operational requirements when needed.

  • A team player who demonstrates accountability, integrity, and alignment with Maersk's values and policies.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to remain composed and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure operational environment.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving, planning, and prioritization skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Familiarity with port authority systems, vessel clearance processes, and regulatory compliance requirements is an advantage.
