Job Summary:

The Landside Operations Manager is responsible for managing and executing landside transportation activities, including the movement of cargo and containers through road and rail transport. The role ensures efficient, safe, and compliant operations while supporting service delivery, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute landside transportation operations involving truck and rail movements.

• Monitor daily transportation activities to ensure timely and cost-effective cargo movement.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.

• Identify, investigate, and resolve operational issues while minimizing service disruptions.

• Coordinate with internal departments, transport providers, terminals, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.

• Analyze operational data and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and service quality.

• Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation.

• Support process optimization initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement programs.

• Provide guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing to less experienced team members when required.

• Participate in projects and operational initiatives aimed at improving transportation performance and customer experience.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Relevant experience of 8-10yrs+ in landside transportation, logistics, supply chain, or freight operations.

• Strong understanding of truck and rail transportation processes and operational best practices.

• Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
