
Job Description
Ensures that day-to-day Airfreight operations are executed in according
to strategy and targets. Has responsibility for the optimisation of
Processes and Productivity within the Airfreight Product in the AREA.
Purpose of the Role
Lead district to achieve company goals, manage customer portfolio, promote business growth, retention of direct customer business, maintain team stability and work out staff & organization development plans.
Leads, develops and responsible for the overall gateway operational activities of PRN. Partnering with other business team and responsible for product GP results. Drive gateway organization to achieve its short and long term financial and operating objectives, as set by the company business plan.
Key Responsibilities and Geography
Lead development, implementation and retention of direct customers
Owner of responsible district P&L results
Holds accountable operations, procurement and commercial teams to achieve the target
Own the day to day operations for all direct customers facing activities to ensure productivity, operational excellence, quality performance to customers
Ensure that all company procedures, plans and programs are understood and implemented
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, local rules and regulations
Overall responsible for PRN airfreight operations, including route operations, ground handling and domestic transportation operation, consolidation efficiency
Accountability
Ensures consistent delivery in line with the brand principle
Contributes to the commercial pipeline management
Drives and builds strong relationships with customers
Plans and deploys the understanding of customers' businesses and needs to the CX Organisation
Reviews team performance and identifies possible issues in order to provide a better service and financial results
Drives overall continuous improvement opportunities and change management, especially for file management and overall efficiency improvement
Together with the commercial team, delivers agreed sales targets based on quote follow up and assigned internal sales customers ensuring focus on segmentation drivers
Closely collaborate with other teams within and across Area
Coach, motivate and build a high performing team
Manage the gateway cost and achieve the best achieved cost as well the best consolidation efficiency
Drive and build a highly efficient and flawless gateway operation that deliver industry leading service standards that facilitate company’s market leadership in target sectors
Ensure constantly meet customer operation KPIs
Provide leadership and management of PRN Gateway function, driving strategy whilst ensuring high employee morale and motivation
Drive and deliver the gateway productivity improvement according to company target
Required experience & skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or related field / Supply Chain and logistics experience
Experience
Minimum 15 years of experience in air freight forwarding, at least 8 years working experience in management role as P&L owner responsible for customer service and operation excellence
Language and Communication
The position requires good written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment
Ability to articulate issues, present “pros and cons” and provide feedback timely
Computer
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other technical software.

Thorough understanding of airfreight market drivers
Preferably a prior understanding and experience with responsible market
