Job Description

Senior Operations Manager, Rider Performance (Middle East)

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drive everything we do. Our Operations team is the heart of Deliveroo—ensuring our three-sided marketplace runs safely, fairly, and efficiently. From designing robust policies to navigating complex regulatory landscapes and scaling global frameworks, we solve high-stakes challenges that protect our community. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, possess strong operational grit, and want to build trust in a global brand—this is the team for you.

We’re looking for a Senior Operations Manager, Rider Performance to join our Middle East team. Reporting to the Director of Operations (Middle East), you will be responsible for building the frameworks and systems that ensure our rider network in the UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar operates at an elite level while helping riders optimise their earnings.

Get to know our Operations team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Middle East Rider Operations team. Operating in a hyper-growth environment, you will solve complex logistics problems by leveraging data to ensure we always have the best-performing riders on the road.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Framework Development: Build effective, scalable, and efficient systems to centralise and manage rider performance across three distinct Middle Eastern markets.

  • Strategic Resource Allocation: Design and recommend incentive strategies and resource plans to tackle specific performance gaps or network health issues.

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor key metrics and "unusual" data trends, conducting deep-dives to uncover root causes and preserve the health of the logistics network.

  • Budget Management: Work closely with the wider Rider Ops team to ensure performance initiatives and incentive structures operate within defined budgets.

  • Stakeholder Reporting: Provide regular, concise, and high-impact updates on rider performance to senior leadership and global HQ teams.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HQ Ops, Product, and Tech to implement new features or tools that improve the experience for riders, restaurants, and customers.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

  • Analytical Mastery: 6+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or engineering. You are highly comfortable with large datasets and proficient in SQL and Python.

  • Problem-Solving Grit: A proven track record of solving tough, complex problems in a high-growth startup or similar fast-paced environment.

  • Ownership Mindset: You take full responsibility for your area, demonstrating the curiosity to diagnose unusual outcomes and the drive to fix them.

  • Process Engineering: Experience building scalable tools and structured change methodologies; you enjoy working in and refining process-driven environments.

  • Communication & Influence: Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear strategic recommendations.

  • Agility: Comfortable handling multiple high-priority workstreams simultaneously, both individually and as part of a regional team.
