The Role

Deliveroo is hiring a Head of Consumer Communications (PR, Influencer & Brand Social) France on a maternity cover basis. This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering how Deliveroo communicates with and is perceived by consumers across PR, influencer marketing, and owned brand social channels, with a particular focus on Meta and TikTok.

You will work closely with the Global Head of Consumer Comms to define the consumer communications strategy, creative vision, and tone of voice for the French market, ensuring Deliveroo remains culturally relevant, distinctive, and front-of-mind for consumers.

You will act as a strategic partner to the French Marketing, Commercial and Leadership teams, while also leading the day-to-day execution of high-impact campaigns, launches, and reactive communications.

  • Work with teams and agencies to generate culturally resonant ideas rooted in French consumer insights.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the French Marketing and Leadership teams on consumer communications.

  • Partner closely with French Commercial, Operations, Customer Care, Legal, and Product teams to ensure communications plan supports business priorities.

  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications and Public Affairs on reputational issues and sensitive topics.

Media & Reputation Management

  • Safeguard Deliveroo’s reputation in France by ensuring communications are legally compliant, responsible, and culturally appropriate.

  • Draft media statements and responses where required.

  • Prepare senior leaders for media engagements when needed.

People & Agency Management

  • Manage and develop your direct report and provide leadership to dotted-line social team members.

  • Set clear priorities, ways of working, and development goals.

  • Manage external agencies, ensuring strong performance, creativity, and value.

Within the maternity cover period, you will:

  • Deliver standout creative consumer campaigns and a programme of activity that strengthens Deliveroo’s brand presence in France.

  • Successfully lead major launches and moments with integrated PR, influencer, and social activation.

  • Aim to increase share of voice, reach and positive brand sentiment.

  • Ensure strong alignment between marketing-led campaigns and communications.

  • Maintain Deliveroo’s reputation through effective issue management and collaboration with Corporate Comms.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Fluent French and professional-level English.

  • Significant senior-level experience in consumer communications, PR, or brand marketing.

  • Strong creative instincts and idea generation capability
