Job Description
Finance & Strategy Associate
Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our Finance team shapes the company's future by directing capital to high-impact investments, developing robust financial strategies, and ensuring we deliver long-term value while pursuing our ambitious mission.
We’re looking for a Finance & Strategy Associate to join our Milan team. In this role, you’ll act as a high-impact business partner, using financial modelling and strategic analysis to grow our market share in the grocery and retail space across Italy.
Get to know our Finance team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the Finance & Strategy team. We accelerate the growth of our business by implementing new opportunities and solutions, partnering across the company to improve the profitability and scalability of our business model.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Strategic & Financial Planning: Support the annual planning process by diagnosing pain points, designing grocery/retail strategies, and building complex financial models for budget iterations.
Performance Monitoring: Drive execution through rigorous reporting, including Weekly and Monthly Business Reviews (WBR/MBR) to identify growth opportunities and course corrections.
Investment & Deal Approval: Support decision-making for major partner deals by analysing P&L impacts and ensuring alignment with budget constraints and market consistency.
Regional Strategy Execution: Track the progress of New Verticals plans across Italy, ensuring operational milestones are met with data-driven precision.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, and Operations to drive accountability and goal achievement.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
Strategic Experience: Proven experience in strategy consulting, M&A, Private Equity, or a high-growth tech environment.
Numerical Excellence: Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and data tools (specifically GSuite/GSheets) to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Stakeholder Influence: Strong ability to interact with and influence senior leadership across different levels of a matrixed organisation.
Linguistic Skills: Professional fluency in English is required to collaborate within our global structure.
Agile Mindset: A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, managing ambiguity and tight deadlines with a focus on ownership.
