Job Description

Accounts Payable Specialist - HOP

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our Finance team shapes the company's future by directing capital to high-impact investments, developing robust financial strategies, and ensuring we deliver long-term value while pursuing our ambitious mission.

We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist - HOP to join our London team. In this role, you’ll help us manage the day-to-day operational Accounts Payable processes for all countries Deliveroo operates in, ensuring financial accuracy across our global markets.

Get to know our Finance team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Accounts Payable team, reporting to the Senior AP Lead. This is a high-impact role based in our London HQ (3 days a week in-office), where you will handle high-volume processing and query management to keep our global operations running smoothly.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee accurate transaction processing and query handling for invoices, credit notes, and expenses across all Deliveroo markets.

  • Query Management: Manage the AP inbox via Zendesk, ensuring high-quality customer service and timely resolution for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Supplier Management: Lead supplier account management, including regular statement reconciliations to ensure ledger accuracy.

  • Market Expansion: Scope and set up AP processes for new vendors and markets as the business continues to scale globally.

  • Process Innovation: Identify and implement efficiencies within the AP workflow to streamline high-volume tasks and improve 'ownership' of the end-to-end process.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

  • AP Experience: Proven experience in an Accounts Payable clerk position within a high-volume, global environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Significant experience with NetSuite and a strong familiarity with P2P systems and stock invoice processing.

  • Data Skills: Intermediate Excel skills with the ability to manage and maintain complex spreadsheets.

  • Efficiency Mindset: A proactive desire to improve established processes and a high level of accountability for your work.

  • Global Perspective: Previous experience working within a global company structure, managing multi-currency or multi-country requirements.
