Job Description

About the role

Our team lead the way for implementing complex Microsoft Azure services and resources across pre-sales consultancy and project delivery activities.

We develop and take High Level Designs into the Low-Level detail at the Post-Sale stage, Implement the solution followed by thorough testing before handing over into the relevant support or managed service teams.

We’re looking for someone who not only has the technical expertise and aptitude but the passion to lead our wider Technical Designers through the solution and drive to completion. Keeping the customer at the heart of everything they do.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working across the full Azure solution lifecycle, from pre‑sales design through to technical delivery
  • Designing high‑level Microsoft Azure solutions for multiple external customers, including public sector organisations
  • Supporting pre‑sales activities, such as:
  • Identifying customer requirements and opportunities
  • Creating Azure solution designs and architecture approaches
  • Estimating effort, resources, and supporting pricing and bid responses
  • Delivering post‑sales implementation, including:
  • Deploying and configuring Azure services and virtual machines
  • Supporting technical build, migration, and configuration activities
  • Ensuring solutions are delivered to design, security, and quality standards
  • Working in a shared customer model, balancing multiple customer engagements at the same time
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders, customers, and internal delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Multiple years of hands‑on Microsoft Azure administration experience, including provisioning and managing Azure services
  • AZ‑104 Microsoft Azure Administrator certification (or equivalent knowledge and experience)
  • Strong understanding of core Azure services, infrastructure, and operations
  • Experience deploying and supporting Azure‑based solutions within live environments
  • Willingness and ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC)

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Azure Solutions Architect certifications (AZ‑303 / AZ‑304 or current equivalents)
  • Experience in solution design, architecture, or technical design roles
  • Exposure to pre‑sales activities, such as solution sizing, estimation, and bid support
  • Background in managed services or cloud operations, with an interest in moving into solution design
  • Experience working with public sector customers
  • Existing Security Clearance (SC) or higher
