Job Title: Senior Procurement Engineer – Airframe (Performance Delivery)

Location: Samlesbury, Hybrid – 3 days per week on site minimum

Travel: Travel within UK + NI (once every few months, as and when required with possible overnight stay)

Job Description:

You will coordinate a UK and international supply base to ensure the F‑35 and Typhoon production lines maintain the stock levels required to meet programme demands. Working in a fast‑paced environment, you will oversee orderbook accuracy, resolve supply issues, and support internal customers and suppliers to enable on‑time delivery. Your role requires extensive procurement capability, data accuracy, and the ability to maintain effective supplier relationships across multi-faceted production requirements.

Core duties:

  • Ensure timely placement of Purchase Orders in line with procurement governance, supplier accreditations and export control requirements
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure parts meet business and customer requirements, resolving issues to maintain production continuity
  • Maintain meaningful supplier relationships, supporting effective communication and performance delivery
  • Monitor and communicate supplier KPIs, including schedule adherence, invoice maintenance and quality performance
  • Maintain accurate data within ERP systems and customer tracking tools to support reporting, planning and orderbook governance

Essential Skills:

  • Extensive procurement experience and stakeholder engagement within high‑volume, fast‑paced or manufacturing environments, with the ability to support production delivery requirements
  • Supply chain orderbook management experience, including handling high volumes of purchase orders, supplier updates, queries and invoices
  • Proficient capability using ERP systems (Infor LN desirable) and advanced Microsoft Excel, with the ability to interpret data and maintain accurate records
  • Ability to compile data, interpret performance and present clear, evidence‑based recommendations through reports and presentations while partnering effectively with internal and external stakeholders

The Forging & Roughings Team:

A close knit team, responsible for enabling machined roughings into production. The team works closely with suppliers, Engineering and Programme functions to maintain supply continuity, maintain orderbooks and support production delivery across fast‑moving aircraft programmes.
