Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Location: Barrow-in-Furness or Filton, Hybrid

Salary: £49,000 depending on experience – This role also has paid overtime available.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll support the maturation of platform requirements. You’ll analyse requirements to ensure traceability. You’ll be working cross organisation to showcase excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

You’ll oversee end-to-end processes and support with continuous improvement to ensure mitigation of technical concerns. You’ll work with the wider team to support with Defining / verifying acceptances. You’ll assist with the development and satisfaction of the programmes Verification & Validation needs

Core duties:

  • You’ll have systems engineering domain knowledge
  • You’ll be able to translate technical issues to a wider stakeholder audience
  • You’ll have requirements management toolsets knowledge (e.g. Doors / Cradle)
  • You’ll be degree Level Qualification (ideally STEM) or Equivalent experience in a similar roleY
  • You’ll be able to identify issues / Future risk, evaluate & implement solutions

The SSNA Whole Boat Requirements & Acceptance Team:

This is a unique role, in which you will gain exposure to the foundation of the submarines build. This provides a real opportunity to have exposure to the early design of a new programme & new submarines. You will also gain exposure to the early design of a new programme & new submarines. This is a chance to have an impact on the future SSNA platform. To help support this, overtime is available in this role.

There is also support for further growth and development in the role, from potential role scope growth to further education opportunities, this is a team with development at the forefront. BAE also offers a fantastic work life balance programme that includes flexible & hybrid working.
