Job Title: Communications Advisor

Job Location: Preston or Any Shared Services UK Site- Hybrid -On site 2 days per week. Some travel required UK-Wide. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £45,000 depending on skills and experience

Role Description:

Support the Communications Manager in the development and delivery of effective and integrated communications plans, leading on some of the simpler aspects Build effective and robust communications networks through customer relationship management to support delivery and improve effectiveness of communications Implement the communications strategy to provide effective communication of relevant corporate information and company strategy.

Core Duties:

  • Work as part of the communications team to ensure a proactive, consistent and coordinated approach is adopted
  • Be responsible for providing guidance and support to the functions on Communications Strategy deployment, including embedding communications activities
  • Assist managers, and sometimes leads, in development and effective delivery of communications which enhance business performance
  • Be responsible to coordinate the work of the Communications discipline/s (e.g. Community Investment (CI)), act as the link with the BAE Systems corporate team and manage the required reporting of Sector, Line of Business and/or Group activity
  • Be responsible for ensuring excellent working relationships supporting wider internal communications activities
  • Be responsible for the creative input / the production of materials (print / digital) collateral for campaigns and initiatives
  • Deliver activity to support enhanced customer and internal stakeholder engagement. The role holder will promote and protect the reputation of the Sector, Line of Business and/or Group through all outputs
  • Running internal events as and when required

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in comms is essential for this role
  • Change in transformation skills
  • Good writing experience
  • Project management and organisational experience
  • Video production skills are essential for this role
  • Experience of Stakeholder management
  • Graphic Design qualification

The Communications Shared Services team:
