ACCOUNTABILITY
Telephony &Video Conference Design & Architecture:
- Collaborate with global IT teams and business units to design and evolve complex, secure, and resilient IP telephony and video conferencing architectures for Airbus's worldwide operations.
- Develop and maintain technical blueprints, design documents, and standards for Unified Communications (UC) solutions.
- Conduct advanced capacity planning, performance analysis, and optimization for large-scale voice, video, and collaboration environments, Cisco WebEx, Google Meet and weblive by proactively optimizing capacity and performance high QoS.
- Administer the company’s Workspace ONE platform, develop, deploy, and enforce security policies, profiles, and configurations for iOS devices.
- Manage device enrollment, retirement, and remote wiping for lost or stolen devices
Advanced Implementation & Deployment:
- Lead the installation, configuration, and migration of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Expressway (C/E), Cisco Meeting Server (CMS), Voice Gateways, and other critical UC components.
- Deploy and manage advanced video conferencing rooms (e.g., WebEx Room Kit, Google Meeting Hardware), cloud-based conferencing services (e.g., Webex Meetings, Google Meet, liveStream, webinar, securemeeting), and their integration with on-premise infrastructure.
- Implement and manage complex SIP Trunking, E.164 dial plans, and global call routing strategies across multiple geographic locations and disparate systems.
- Drive integration of UC systems with enterprise applications (e.g., Active Directory, contact center solutions like UCCX).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all mobile device-related issues, including hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
Operation, Maintenance & Incident Management:
- Perform expert-level administration, monitoring, and proactive maintenance of telephony and conferencing infrastructure.
- Manage and optimize global dial plans, user provisioning, and advanced feature configurations.
- Utilize advanced monitoring tools (e.g., Cisco RTMT, network analysis tools like Wireshark) to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex voice/video quality and connectivity issues.
- Act as a top-tier (Tier 3) escalation point for critical incidents, leading problem resolution efforts in a high-pressure, mission-critical environment.
- Execute regular system maintenance, including complex patching, security updates, and major version upgrades with minimal disruption to business operations.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement and enforce stringent security measures for voice and video communications, aligning with Airbus's internal security policies, industry regulations and data privacy standards.
- Manage certificates, encryption, and secure communication protocols (e.g., TLS, SRTP) across the UC ecosystem
- Ensure all mobile devices comply with company security policies and industry regulations.
Documentation, Knowledge Transfer & Training:
- Create and maintain comprehensive, high-quality technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide expert-level knowledge transfer and training to internal IT teams and key business users.
Technology Evaluation & Innovation:
- Continuously research, evaluate, and recommend new voice and video technologies, collaboration tools, and industry best practices relevant to Airbus's evolving needs.
- Engage with leading UC vendors (especially Cisco) on product roadmaps, support cases, and strategic partnerships.
- Contribute to strategic planning for the future of Airbus's global collaboration landscape, including cloud adoption strategies (UCaaS/CCaaS).
Project Management
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Create and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring projects are delivered within financial guidelines.
QUALIFICATION
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE: 8-10+ years of progressive experience, on enterprise-level IT of a MNC company, with at least 5-7 years in a senior engineering role focused specifically on Unified Communications (UC) and video conferencing.
CERTIFICATION:
Highly Desirable: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Collaboration or higher (CCIE Collaboration).
Project Management: Demonstrated experience managing complex technical projects, including planning, resource allocation, budget tracking, and stakeholder communication.
Contact Center: Familiarity with contact center technologies like Cisco UCCX or UCCE.
Cloud Strategy: Experience with UCaaS/CCaaS evaluation and cloud migration strategies.
Other relevant certification on IT service delivery management (e.g., ITIL, PMP) are a plus
LANGUAGE: fluent English both in written and oral speaking
KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Cisco UC Expertise: Expert-level, hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing the core Cisco Unified Communications suite, including:
Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
Cisco Unity Connection
Cisco Expressway Series (C & E) for MRA and B2B
Cisco Meeting Server (CMS)
Voice Gateways (ISDN/SIP) and Cube/SBCs
b. In-depth understanding and practical experience with voice and video protocols: SIP, H.323, RTP, SRTP, SCCP, MGCP, QoS (DiffServ, RSVP), DTMF. Collaboration Platforms: Proven experience administering and integrating large-scale cloud collaboration platforms such as Cisco Webex (Meetings, RoomOS, Control Hub, live streaming) and Google Workspace (Google Meet, Google Meeting Hardware). Mobile Device Management (MDM/UEM): Demonstrable experience administering VMware Workspace ONE, specifically for managing and securing a fleet of iOS devices in a corporate environment. Networking & Protocols: Deep understanding of IP networking, including QoS, VLANs, and the protocols essential for real-time communication (SIP, H.323, RTP, SRTP, TLS, E.164). Proficiency with network analysis tools like Wireshark. Tier 3 Support: Proven track record acting as a final escalation point (Tier 3) for resolving complex and critical incidents in a high-pressure, global enterprise environment. ABILITIES: Architectural Mindset: Ability to think strategically and translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient technical designs and blueprints. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Superior ability to diagnose and resolve complex, multi-faceted technical issues under pressure. Project Leadership: Capable of leading technical projects, coordinating with global teams, and driving initiatives from conception to completion. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, from engineers to senior management. Documentation Skills: Meticulous attention to detail in creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures. Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional global teams, business units, and vendors to achieve common goals.
